questions i didn't understand fully is

1. how did Aeolia knew of the Jupiter Aliens ELS...? or did he take a crazy chance on his ideology and it actually became useful?
Well Obviously if humans are exploring outerspace they may eventually encounter other lifeforms. He just wished they wouldn't go to war with them over a misunderstanding. So he made all these concepts to make it easier to communicate
2. how come the alien didnt follow the original Solar Furnaces to Earth since they were developed on Jupiter...??
Isn't it possible the aliens just didn't find a reason to follow them? I do believe they didn't take much notice to humans till they sensed people gaining quantam brainwaves

Just saying. The movie doesn't have to tell you everything. People should be able to come to certain conclusions by themselves.
