Gosei Sentai Dairanger - Talkbaclk

They switched actors, but it's still meant to be the same character. I don't know the reason behind the switch, but I thought Yellow Owl was an improvement. The original guy was downright annoying. And a bad actor. And so awful that it still left me mixed about the character even after he became Yellow Owl.

I think I pretty much feel the same way. I'll take Raita/Yellow Owl's performance any day over the previous guy but yeah. Once again DaiRanger manages to counter something awesome about the show with something totally f'ed up.

Honestly, I think all that was just meant to look cool. He was supposed to be undergoing some harsh training. So, they try to quickly convey that by showing Ryou pushing his body to hellish limits, giving him a contraption that...maybe constricts the muscles or...strengthens the muscles for precision in hits or...just makes him bleed for Doushi Kaku's amusement? I don't know what the hell it's meant to do, but it DOES make for a cool scene.

This is true, and both actors sell the hell out of it. :buttrock:

I hated the first guy was a passion. It was good to see Raita/Yellow Owl again as Daimugen!.

..and at least he's getting something to do. The lady who played the commander in Jetman just seems to be there for yellling "Koooooouuuuuuuuuu!"

She was there for eye candy being the first female mentor of a Sentai team haha.

Well I can see why they would want to use her again and having her in the role of Kou's Mom is a nice touch in theory, I guess I just don't like how it's executed most of the time in the show, but I kinda feel that way about Kou's whole story.

I do wish Daimugen combined with Won Tiger & The Other Kiden-juu alot more then it did. That's about the only thing I didn't like about the series.
