Go-onger: Kiddie sentai?

If Sentai has taught us anything its this:

Just cause its made for "kids" dosen't mean we can't enjoy it too, or that it'll be bad(Well usually)

You are right, but I do hate people who always jumps to conclusion just because of pics. I admit when i first pics of Gekiranger, i was "WTF was that !?!" but after watching the series, i began to love it more and more ...

Likewise. When I started to watch Sentai, starting with the Magirangers, I thought it had more of a family/young adult-orientation in some parts. When I watch other Sentai season, only a few seasons had mature contents in some episodes. While other seasons maybe have some parts to attract more kids then more mature viewers. But yeah, I agree with D.K. and G.B. just because something is made for "Little Kids" doesn't mean everybody else can enjoy it.

First of all, Sentai is always meant for kids.

I think he meant that they may be lowering the demographic to toddlers with the designs. If you look at past Sentai designs the show is for kids but the designs are for older kids really. Like 7-12 kids and often times older. The new robo design is like they're targeting 4 year olds who like playschool.

But Gekiranger actually looked kewl regardless. Any complaints were just aesthetics. This complaint stems from the fact that designs all around look more childish than previous years (with huge freaking Disney-Cars style eyes on the robo.)

Right. I remember last year the few people who were going to boycott Gekiranger just because they didn't have belts.

Holy crap! I remember that too. I even remembera pic that had belts photoshopped on. It's funny as Gekiranger is being called of the great Sentais.

I'm not a fan of the mecha, but:
1.) The toys never look like the real things
2.) It has to come after Gekitouja, THE greatest mecha in Sentai history. :buttrock:

However, I love the new suits. There's something that feels so right about them. I can't wait to see them in action (Please do not interpret this as "Let's get rid of Gekiranger". I love the show, I loved the suits almost from the beginning, and, when Gekiranger leaves for the final time, after their team-up with Boukenger, I will be waiting like a kid for Christmas for them to return in their team-up with Go-onger, while we talk about the team that will replace the Go-onger).

I think Go-onger looks awesome. I love the retro costumes. Sure the mecha aren't the best looking in Sentai history. But they are better then nothing at all.

True. When I say pics of Geki for the first time I thought, "Not another team of three, we had this with Hurricanger and Abaranger." Not that those were bad, but I prefer the team of five. But after watching Geki I loved it. Do I have some minor reservations about this one? Yes. Am I still going to watch it? Yes. Why? Cause It's better than most things on my TV.

You can tell by the new mechs that it was MADE FOR KIDDIES, the same way when Toei had BF Kabutack and Ironbark Detective Robotack made for small kids.

so i was thinking if that was the first kiddie sentai.

1. For the most part, Sentai is a kids show.
2. If you don't like kiddie shows, don't watch them.

Simple.
