Getting Ready for Hibiki

[hide]Why is there an electric guitar based oni back in the past and how did the sword end up in the cave...[/hide]
Being cheap since there were so many other suits made for the movie. I just went to believing that those instruments were in use by Oni before humans thought of making such instruments.

The knife, the story ended before they could reveal that. That also I assumed that it was used by the previous Hibiki and laid to rest in that cave for Takeshi's respects.

But still plot-holes nonetheless.

Based on what I learned via research in the web, in the 7 War Oni, the events that happened in the past are canon to the Hibiki storyline while the vents that happened to the present are non-canon. About the Takeshi's sword, I think it was passed down to the members of Takeshi if I would stick it with the Hibiki storyline.

About the electric guitar, I find it weird. If that was a shamisen then I would accept it!

The electric guitar was one of those wahahacky tokusatsu things I could accept, but given the themes behind the weapons, and some of the really cool concept and fan art I've seen, something else would have been cool.

Yeah, they should have sticked with the classical Japanese instruments instead of using Todoroki, heck, Zanki's master Shuki uses a harp, so logically, Todoroki and Zanki are somehow new-age Onis unlike Hibiki and Ibuki whose instruments were around for quite a long time even up to the Heian and Sengoku period.

Regarding the sword, yes I know that the book Asumu read was just a legend of some sort and is not really historical based on their world, but it was so weird for the sword to be conveniently placed in an altar in the cave for my taste, I think they should have found it in the sea rather to have at least be really connected IMHO.

Not necessarily plot holes. The suits, despite being out of place, doesn't interfere with the storyline. I can't recall if it was specified that the Oni's teachings evolved with newer instruments

The knife is more likely a plothole if believing the story to be only a legend. If true, it leaves the story to put the knife anywhere.

What I'm more bothered by is how powerful the simple knife was when comparing it to the show's Armed Saber.

by the way, this was dubbed into Filipino..I was not able to watch it because I was busy watching Blade that time. I saw one episode that they were going to a fight..it was supposed to be no "henshin" shouts right..but the dubbers still inserted "rider change" into the scene..hehe..

I'm not talking about the suits, just Todoroki's electric guitar which I seriously doubt was existing back then. If they made Shuki carry a harp, then they should have just made a harp-carrying Todoroki-like oni back then instead.

They could make the excuse that Todoroki's guitar was the basis of the modern day electric guitar, but that was never established, hence a plot-hole.

I am developing a hate for Asumu..he just follows Hibiki like a stalker..he went to the mountains just to tell Hibiki he passed the HS entrance exam and got lost in the process..Akira is right that what he does is getting lost, eat and sleep.
