REALLY excited about the news, however I´m upset because I´ll have to wait maybe a year or more to watch it, at least until the DVD or Bluray is released. But maybe if the movie goes well (like Red Requiem did) we will have a season 3. I´m convinced that we had Makai Senki thanks to the good numbers delivered from Red Requiem. Soooo praying for that!!

Great news! Maybe we'll get to see Kouga teaching his son to become the next Garo/Golden Makai Knight.
Btw, would you guys like to see the series spin off into another show with a different lead? I for one won't mind seeing Rekka as a lead, or maybe have Leo & Rekka as the two leading characters.

According to the article in cinematoday, Ryosei Konishi (Kouga's actor) said that this will be Saejima Kouga's final battle. It seems it will take place in the place that Kouga has to go to due to his contract with Gajari

Hmmm. I wouldnt want to watch Rekka. Maybe Zero. But I still prefer the gang as a whole.
Just...not Rekka by herself. Id rather watch Kodama soliloquy.

Well as stated previously the show creator has said the current cast has graduated from their roles, so I assume that means Rei as well. So either Leo, and there's probably a good tale to tel there with the aftermath of his Brother's plan, might get a season like was speculated or they may go with a whole new character.
And as I said earlier I wouldn't mind a Jabi/Rekka Gaiden between now and then either.

So ummm. It's always bothered me that Sigma was pretty dull and boring for a villain. Then it hit me. Amemiya is pretty good at foreshadowing.
This is just a theory. But if Im right, it might spoil something big for the next Garo we see...

Episode 24 confirms the theory for me.
1. Episode 15, kid is always shown training with a Makai Priest brush. That caught my attention the 1st tym.
2. Episode 19. Remember the flashbacks of Leo and Sigma's childhood. They were completely cloaked in shadows, up until 6:42. Why show his face and pull it away again? And he does look a lot like the kid actor of Purple from ep 15.
3. Episode 24, whats up w that reaction when one of Kouga's charms got cut off in the final clash? Look at Sigma's face. Yea, its not from the cut.
4. Episode 24 and 15. I tried looking closely at the charm that fell off Kouga and the charm Purple was holding up at the end of 15. The sequencing and patterns are identical (to me).
But of course most of you would say, "yea no". "He got squashed by that monster remember?" It did bother me a lot because of that one detail (plus in Kouga's mind theyre all dead and looking over him from the "other side")...
Then I decided to watch it again...
5. Episode 15. 20:23. See those petals when he got "squashed"? Where the F did those cherry blossoms come from?
6. Episode 19, 6:36. Yeah, remember that technique? They showcased it later on in the train fight as well. Im just saying....
I might be wrong and it could be Leo. Sigma was said to show more potential as a child and he wasnt that good as a kid in ep 15. But the again how could Sigma react so strangely after seeing the charm?

So yeah, I could just be imagining all this. But if Im right. My feelings for Sigma just went up a bit. And my respect for Amemiya's storytelling and lampshading sky-rocketed.
Also a question? Is Mio played by the same actress that was nekkid and cloned in ep 19? She never talked anyway, y bother getting 2 actresses? Just get the one you managed to shoot nude and make her walk with Leo and Sigma for a bit?

I'm not really a big fan of Rekka or Leo - I'd watch the hell out of any Garo spin-off, but there are other characters I'd like to see headlining a new show more. Personally, I'd love to see a show centered around Wataru. Just to have 24 episodes of Kenji Matsuda being badass.

I'd rather have a show based on Tsubasa, Jabi, and Rei. Have Leo and Wataru appear every now and then, but keep it at that. Maybe reintroduce some characters, have Rei have a student whom he could teach to be the new Bado (if anyone recalls HIM from the KIBA Gaiden), and introduce a few new armors, like say for Tsubasa's disciples.
