But then that would be a huge dilemma considering that from 2003-2011, Disney had the rights to adapt Sentai and then they would actually drop Kamen Rider because it's claimed to be far too violent and too dark for kids to handle so Adness would have to start off with Dragon Knight (Ryuki) in 2003 (assuming that the US Branch would have already begin it business back then), then whatever because they would have to pick up where Saban had left off and then they would have tried their bests to make the rest of the Heisei Riders future adaptations more of a reference to the Showa-era Riders.
Remember the rumors for "Dragon Rider" aka a possible Ryuki adaptation?
Why would Disney drop another money-maker and just tone it a little down? Not like Power Rangers was formally under the Disney brand , and THAT went a little independent for a little bit.
We are talking about a theoretical here, where the Rider series DID NOT end with Masked Rider ,but continued through when Agito came on the air and ended. I doubt they would want to drop a series that would allow for more money and merchandising after airing for six-seven years with exciting scifi mythos , but instead would just tone it down and be different. Disney , as how they are smart businesspeople most of the time , would see how both series coincide in Japan and air them in tandem , even retconning the MMPR x-over and connecting it, which may be what Disney was planning.
The fact of the manner is that Masked Rider , since it was a one-off during the Saban era , was not seen with much of a reason to continue due to lack of more footage and the gap between the original and "Dragon Rider".
Your point is spot on with the latter about continuing ,but the solution is to wrap the older era up cleanly and start sorta anew after Lost Galaxy, which was the first season to be unrelated to the previous team.
