I think Wizard could sell very well in the US if the marketing is done right. Magical and fantasy stuff sells very well here like with Warcraft, Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Skyrim and Games of Thrones. I would like to see an American version of Wizard be similar to X-Files which has the American version of Rinko Daimon working with CIA doing a investigations of the Phantoms.
Also with Wizard, you can keep most of the names since most of them have English names. Most of the Wizard driver sounds are in English as well.
I'd argue that OOO would be a far better sell here because:
-Power coins. If anyone wants to call it Power Rider, this is the first thing that can be used. Connect it to Masked Rider or whatever, and have it be some ancient lost Eltar armor. Plus sales opportunities.
-Team dynamic. Make Ankh and Eiji equivs friends or rivals and give girl one of the Birth armor, aka teenagers of attitude.
-Again with MMPR inferences.
-Toy sales. Not only are there the coins, but the toys as well. Notably, make more accurate and cheaper molds of the SIC figures, and use the switch-up mechanic [not sure if regular figures had the body part gimmick]. Pair the coins with relevant toys and its pretty much like Yu-Gi-Oh. Collectors Edition with SICS and Figuarts.
-The plot line could be kept to a tee.
Feed off of nostalgia and have the dollars rolling. On the other hand, OOO could be adapted as a lighter "Death Becomes Her" meets a lighter Evil Dead.
Can't say anything on Wizard, but it could be good if the trends last, though I'd rather go with Kiva and do a reverse Buffy/Buffy.
