Timeranger - So far, I'm on episode 20 and I actually like it a lot, definitely better than Gaoranger, IMO.

Gaoranger - Eh.... boring, but there are most episodes that were good, like Loki/GaoSilver saga, GaoGod saga and the last few episodes.

Hurricanger - I loved this series. Shurikenger was badass.

Abaranger - Awesome sentai series! Abarekiller was AMAZING.

Dekaranger - Now, now, I don't know why everyone hate this show. I personally loved this show because this series had a Police theme. I actually liked the individual episodes. That doesn't bother me anyway. BTW, DekaMaster was one of my favorite and..... UMEKO FOREVER!

Magiranger - Despite the wackiness, it has a good story and everything. Wolzard = win.

Boukenger - **** BOUKENGER. PERIOD. What a bullshit sentai series I've seen.

Gekiranger - That series got me back and I loved Kung Fu based! So much respect of Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Bruce Lee, Michelle Yeoh and others...etc. And few movies.... ENTER THE DRAGON.

Go-onger - I stopped watching after episode 22. Too much wacky, idiots, bullshit comedy and everything. Kamen Rider Den-O is way better than Go-onger. **** GO-ONGER.

Shinkenger - Now, that I like so far! It has been awesome and I'm so excited to see more coming up! :buttrock:

Are you watch RRR's subs of Timeranger? It's better then watching it raw and it explains everything on the storyline which you'll need. Timeranger is EPIC win.

I've always thought the fake-outs were so annoying.

It's not a big deal, Juzou explains to Takeru why he 'fakes-out' and its a pretty damn awesome reason over just teleporting away. Plus you'll get to see the sickest 3 way sword duel in Sentai history. GO & WATCH!!!!!!!

I really like the core three of Abaranger, I think they're the glue of the show. They actors are all such cool people, and just nail those characters. I like them more than Asuka or Mikoto, actually, and those two hog all the spotlight from the fans. :laugh:

I read that the dude who played Mizorogi in Ultraman Nexus auditioned for Mikoto...holy moley, he would have been cool. Koutarou's Tanaka's good, but I always thought he seemed a bit too young for the part.

Which reminds me...before Shinkenger started, the Japanese boards claimed Kouichiro Nishi was going to play a villain in Shinkenger. Makes me wonder if he was considered and/or auditioned for Juuzo.

I thought all of the CGI nonsense ruined that fight. It was supposed to be a "cool" and "epic" fight, but it was ruined with all of the CGI fire and sparks going all over the place, as if to say "Hey, look here! EPIC FIGHT, isn't this awesome!?"

Man. This thread got way off topic. Interesting. I expected seeing a Den-o vs Decade first, before a Den-o vs Shinkenger. but oh well. I've yet to see Den-O so I can't comment. But I have seen Shinkenger up to date.

Anyway, since the thread has evolved into a "What is Den-O?" and a "Best 2000s toku" thread, I guess I'll give my comment on it. Since I haven't seen Den-O, I'll just go with the 2000s sentai topic.

PS: I'm not a real fan of dividing sentai by decades. I prefer doing it by Heisei (Goranger-Liveman), 20th Showa (Turboranger-Timeranger), and 21st Showa (Gaoranger-Shinkenger). (Possibly 12 seasons per generation). The current sentai, I call "Generation 3 sentai." But whatever. I'll stick to the 2000s decade for this topic.

Timeranger (I consider this as one of the best sentai of all time. Love the unique story so much! )

Gaoranger (This season was really cool. But could've been a lot more! A bit dissapointing. :disappoin )

Hurricaneger (I don't care what people say, I consider this a good version of Kakuranger :loltongue: )

Abaranger (I love this story a lot!)

Dekaranger (Has a great cast and many fun moments)

Magiranger (This season was just plain fun! I don't care if it has a lot of childish elements. It was a lot of fun for me!)

Boukenger (Similar to Deka. But I loved the many rivalries, and old school elements that were present in it.)

Gekiranger (Currently, another one of my top favs! Amazing story! And was fun to have sentai warriors in multiple factions. )

Go-onger (Nothing special. But could've been a lot better! And I know people will disagree with me, but I actually liked the Engines. They were more interesting than the Go-ongers themselves. To me, the Engines were the only major up for this season.)

Shinkenger (So far so good! If it keeps up the way it is right now, it's definitely going to be one of my top favs! )

Overall for me, Timeranger was the best (for this decade). Gekiranger is another instant classic. Shinkenger is looking good enough to make it as good as Time and Geki. Abaranger had one of the best stories in sentai. Magiranger was also another top fun season with a good story. Hurricaneger was similar in terms of Magi. Dekaranger and Boukenger were just fun, nothing more. Gaoranger was cool, but could've been better. And Go-onger wasn't really anything special. And that's that!

I got no problems with Asuka & Mikoto hogging the spotlight considering their storylines were incredible.

Mizorogi would have been excellent as Killer but I still say Mikoto = teh win.

As for the CGI stuff.... I've gotten used to it. I'm just glad they kept it to a minimal for the mecha.

I like the core three of Aba. True, they aren't the spotlights of Aba's plots. And they don't really have much character development. But here's what I like about them (Mainly, the characters of who they are).

Ryouga (Abared): He's just a likable character to me. It's not everyday you get to see a red warrior as a father figure. And a good one. Plus, I love how Ryouga's kindness clashes with Mikoto's personality. So many scenes involving them were so epic!

Yukito Sanjou (Abareblue): He's Sanjou! (sorry. had to make the Den-O reference ). Anyway, I think he's a cool character. Love how he's a cyropractor, and that he know acupuncture. Plus, I like how he rejects everyone and everything. It just seems funny how he lives his life. I find it quite enjoyable.

Ranru (Abareyellow): I find her a very funny character. I love her theme song. There are just so many hilarious moments involving Ranru. Such as her dance classes with her bizzare teacher. Being a victim to Yatsudenwani's flirting. As well as being the spotlight for many random scenes like the Xmas episode and the one where she keeps changing outfits.

Overall, Abaranger had quite a likable cast. At least IMO, it did.
