Oh, you were talking about The Walking Dead? Well, I haven't read the comics, just seen the show, so I couldn't tell you. I can say though that the creators deem seasons one & two only taking place within the space of a few months, so they are still new. One thing they are gearing up on is that season three is supposed to be the jail thing where they claim the story starts picking up, but no clue how that'll happen. The guy who made the comics is a production assistant, but constantly asks & even put forward ideas for the show to NOT follow the comics because he says if they did the deaths & scenarios just like the comics, it'd take away the element of surprise.
But, if characters doing things that seem stupid bother you, you might not like the Sword of Truth. The cast seems to consistantly do things that seem neglectful, stupid or cruel when taken out of context- like the main character forgetting the parameters of the spell the bad guy put on him until he is reminded, or his love interest being forced to kill a preteen child who the main antagonist of the series has sent to kill them & act like it was absolutely nothing to her to show a brave face to the army. It's still worth giving a try, though.
