[GAME] CthulhuTech: The Eldritch Society -- Episode 1

Torch’s Challenging Perception Feat Test: FAILED. Torch suffers a -1 Test Penalty to all Actions for this turn.

Although most of the sludge burnt away in the flames, some remained to inhibit his vision.

He turned back to the Derebith that spat in his eyes to begin with, quite literally burning with anger, but part of him still had some rational thought. Bouth the Derebith and Namarok were being pretty well taken care of by his comrades, and the original Dhohanoid that started this fight seemed pretty ignored. "Don't think I've forgotten about you now." he shouted before dashing at it, with his spiked fists primed to strike at it, punching downward toward it's head when he was close enough.

"Im gonna smash your skull in!"

Combat: Torch vs. Ramachese
Ramachese rolls Fighting (10) to counter Torch’s attack.

It rolls 7 dice for damage (17). Ramachese sustains 5 points of Light Wounds, then 12 points of Moderate Wounds, and suffers a -3 Test Penalty to all Actions.

The Ramachese leapt forward to meet Torch in mid-air, teeth and claws bared for the kill, but the Efreet’s fist slammed into its chest. The Dhohanoid’s beady eyes bulged in their sockets, and then it met with the ceiling. The smell of sizzling fur and cooking meat, and the cracking of bones, filled the air. The gash left by Lancer previously had been scarred black. The Ramachese, now quite mad from pain, peeled off the ceiling and left a rough indentation of its own body shape behind.

It landed on top of Torch, and wrapped its wiry legs around his broad neck. The adrenaline shooting through its system dulled the agony it felt, and it seemed to be thinking of nothing besides ripping him to shreds. It tore at the Efreet’s face with its long claws.

Combat: Ramachese vs. Torch
Ramachese rolls Strength (+1) + Fighting (+3) + Claws (+1) - Test Penalty (-3) to attack Torch (20). Torch must roll his Armed Fighting, Fighting or Dodge Skill to defend.

The Derebith narrowed its blazing, sickly-coloured eyes at Feast, and with its arms spread wide by the Vampire’s paws, it bounced forward on its rear paws and opened its mouth wide to bite down on its opponent’s face.

Combat: Derebith vs. Feast
Derebith rolls Strength (+2) + Fighting (+3) + Bite (+1) - Test Penalty (-3) to attack Feast (18). Feast must roll his Armed Fighting, Fighting or Dodge Skill to defend.

That overgrown rodent was pretty pissed when Torch slammed his blazing fists into it, no doubt in his mind that he would strike back. His hunch was confirmed when he leaped back at him. Raising his arms in defense as the monster tried scratch at his face, he cranked up his fire and grab Dhohanoid by the midsection before tossing it down on the ground.

"Nice try tiny."
he taunted as he looked down at it with his burning eyes.

As the Derebith lunged forward to bite, Feast smiled. Quicker that the Derebith could comprehend, Feast lashed out with a savage but powerful kick. Feeling the connection as the Derebith's hindpaws left the floor, Feast used the momentum to slam the beast into the nearest wall. Still gripping the poor Derebith's arms, the Vampire took a moment to look down at it's talons. A look of disgust and rage filled Feasts eyes. The Vampire fully intended to pin the beast to the wall for as long as possible.

"Now my foot's gonna stink for God-only-knows-how-long." Grey mentally complained, forgetting for the moment of the Tagerpathy.

Derebith rolls a Strength Feat Contest (15). Feast wins the Contest. Derebith is entangled and suffers -2 to his Actions so long as he remains in his state.

The Derebith squawked as Feast easily overpowered it and smashed it into the wall. The sound of bones cracking seemed to almost chorus with the splintering of the grievously wounded Ramachese, who was squirming on the floor. The rat-like Dhohanoid tried to bring up another slime-ball, only for it to lose momentum halfway along its throat and bubble out of the corners of its open maw.

And with that, combat round 2 concludes. All participants recover Vitality based on their respective Regeneration scores.

Stealth regenerates 2 points of Vitality. His current Wound Level is Flesh Wounds.
Namarok regenerates 1 point of Vitality. Its current Wound Level is Moderate Wounds.
Torch regenerates 1 point of Vitality. His current Wound Level is Unhurt.

Turn order for combat round 3 will proceed as follows: 1. Stealth, 2. Feast, 3. Namarok, 4. Torch, 5. Derebith, 6. Ramachese.

Stealth took a moment to examine the twitching Namarok as it twitch, stricken by the poison, it posed no threat. He pondered poisoning the other creatures and then running off but instead readied his needlepods once again, his symbiont was curious if with enough poison they could cause the Dhoanoid to suffocate. Varna didn't offer much resistance Namarok was far from human.

Combat: Stealth vs. Namarok
Namarok cannot defend itself from Stealth’s assault.

It rolls 2 dice for damage (12). Namarok sustains 12 points of Moderate Wounds. It rolls 2 more dice for damage (6). Namarok sustains 3 points of Moderate Wounds, then 3 points of Serious Wounds, and suffers a -6 Test Penalty to all Actions. It rolls 3 last dice for damage (19). Namarok sustains 13 points of Serious Wounds, then 7 points of Death’s Door, and loses consciousness, bleeding out.

The Namarok loosed a final, guttural wheeze as the flurry of needles stuck into its body. It slumped to the floor, tongue falling out with a wet, slapping sound, and trickling blood. The two remaining Dhohanoids looked in sudden panic at their dying comrade, life-force seeping out of its body, which had begun to somewhat resemble a sort of grotesque pincushion.

Feast let out an inhuman roar, akin to triumph, as he survey the bubbling wreck beneath his feet. Although it was pinned to wall, to the Vampire's mind the prey was ready for devouring. A wicked smile crossed Feast's face, exposing it's massive tri-jaw lined with fangs.

"Prey for mercy! I'll try to make this quick..." Feast growled, gathering energy into it's large claw once again. "...or not... that all depends on you..."

Combat: Feast vs. Derebith
Derebith’s assorted Penalties render it unable to defend itself this turn. It rolls 7 dice for damage (38). It sustains 5 points of Moderate Wounds, then 14 points of Serious Wounds, then 14 points of Death’s Door. The Derebith is now Dead.

Feast’s fist shot forward with the relative force of a bullet train. There was a nasty sound, and the astonished Derebith’s head exploded in a mass of splintered bone, torn flesh and spilt gore. Blood, brain matter and slime spurted out in every direction as the Vampire Tager’s strike passed through the rodent head and impacted against the wall behind.

Namarok is unconscious and cannot attack this turn.
