The Visual Effects Society has announced the speaker lineup for its inaugural Women Who Lead Summit, set for September 4 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. This event aims to empower the next generation of industry leaders by sharing inspiring stories and building community among women in the field.

It's great to see initiatives like this gaining momentum in animation and VFX.

Anyone else excited about the direction women are taking in animation?

It's heartening to see events like the Women Who Lead Summit getting the recognition they deserve. The animation industry has so many incredibly talented women whose contributions have shaped the medium but often go unnoticed. I think about artists like Jennifer Coyle, who directed episodes of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" and has done amazing work at Cartoon Network. Watching the landscape shift to include more voices and experiences will only enrich storytelling in animation.

What are some of your favorite works by female creators in animation? I'd love to hear what others think!
