Forever Knight
Eye See You
Kivat, ignore her and continue on the fangasim.
I also loved the Blocker Machines/OhBlocker.
I also loved the Blocker Machines/OhBlocker.
Just finished 31, saw 32 preview. They're going to get the Blockers!! :buttrock:
What..What happened?
Is my excitement level too high for one of my favorite mecha designs AND cockpits? My bad.
"So you know, the blocker mech are coming out in ep 32, but you know, heh. I could careless. Actually. I care so little I'm going to watch that **** tomorrow."
Better Fang? :shakefist
I mean, you know all about the Blocker Robos. You've seen them for years. You've probably watched them in action in Zeo anyway. Now all of a sudden you're jumping around as though it's something brand new?
Really, can we have some perspective here? The Kidenjuu are among my favorite mechas, yet you don't see me fangasming every time a new mecha appeared on Dairanger >.> Big deal.
But I haven't seen them for a looooong time. Last time I re-watched Zeo was 3 or 4 years ago. Plus I'm sure there are a whole bunch of scenes, they didn't show in Zeo that I'll see now in Oh.
There aren't that many, really. Actually I don't think any OhBlocker battle was left out of Zeo, save a scene or two. (Such as it and Red Puncher having a massive seizure in Ep. 45)
And speaking of design, I don't really know what to think of them. Truthfully they're unoriginal, (Robots with giant shapes on them?), which makes me wonder if they and Tackle Boy were a last minute addition to boost low ratings. (Note that the King Pyramider/Pyramidas toy is designed specifically to accommodate the Choriki Mobiles, not the Blocker Robos.) Yet at the same time they do look rather nice in one's collection, if only for the "rainbow colors".
Just saw the Ep. and There were a good amount of clips that I appreciated in It, that would have been nice in Zeo.
Well, you think of the designs so negatively though. lol They simple, yet superb, just like their suits.
I like how they have huge cockpits all to themselves. It makes sense too seeing as, when Ohranger Robo is formed their cockpit is tiny as hell.
They all have great fighting abilities, and are just visually stunning. Every time I look at them, I get a nostalgia and the "1st time" excitement all in one. Now in Ep. 34 Ohblocker, which again, looks amazing. The colors pop out with these mech unlike any other mech I've seen before.
They're like the complete selection mecha, in action.
As someone who has seen up to ep. 46, I don't believe I saw a brand-new battle. Though I could of course be wrong...
Episode 36 or 37 alone was a great usage of the blockers, that wasn't in Zeo at all. When momo had to disengage the time bomb from the missile, which was on top of a little girls leg.
Meanwhile OhYellow is trying her hardest to protect them with Yellow Blocker.
There is simple, and then there is "just slapped together due to last-minute greenlighting". Just think about it, the Choriki Mobiles and King Pyramider both go along with the show motif, ancient civilizations. The Blocker Robos just have the Rangers' corresponding shape. As I evidenced, I have my doubts on whether OhBlocker was something they had intended to have from the beginning.
Whether that's true or not, to me, they came through. The blockers sure don't have the Egyptian theme going for them, but they were i nice change that could wake up anybody who was bored with what they already had.
I don't see the correlation there, but I will say the OhBlocker cockpit was more sensible that OhrangerRobo's.
Oh, no correlation needed, I was just saying. lol I mean, It was a smart move of them because like I said, ohranger robo's pit was tiny with a lower case t.
The OhrangerRobo and Red Puncher battles were far more impressive. By the time OhBlocker arrives the mecha fights become more or less standard. Kaku's Kyodai Juushou and Juushou Fighter battles were better, as far as humanoid mechas are concerned.
oooo, you definitely got me there with the kaku. This is true.
