Sin City's sequel flopped at the box office! Speaking of meeting things half way here is part 5!
Episode 21:
At the Prime Minister's office he tells a bunch of people sightings of a Nazi ship that sank. Some guy posing as a salvager reveals to be a dark q and tries killing everyone via explosive flashes and jumps out the window. The zero girls tell Hell Satan and has them move it. Hedrian wonders what treasure waits for them. Meanwhile Shark is off motorcycling when the commander tells him to find the Nazi ship. The zero girls notice this before we see some police officers patrolling the harbor. After that we see some teenage girl and her little brother (Namiko and Hiroshi) about to dive. He brings up the Nazi treasure ship saying he wants it before Namiko slaps him because it belongs to the government. They talk about their poor mother for a bit before the zero girls show up prepared to dive for the treasure in return for money. Namiko refuses, but Hiroshi wants to and after he is pushed the zero girls take him hostage. Misa tells Shark as she watches and he transforms. Nice dive sequence. Shark fights off random machinemen while Misa helps the siblings escape. The zero girls start assaulting him until Eagle and Panther jump in to help. 01 throws a few grenades and they run. At a hospital Hiroshi will make a full recovery by in three days, but he scolds Namiko for not getting the money. Misa talks to Namiko a bit which cheers her up a bit while Sun Vulcan rides off to patrol the beach. Here we find out vulcan eye is useless on the ocean. Also Panther can be snuck up on and shoved down a cliff where machinemen ambush him. 01 mentions he apparently cannot swim (seriously?) and Eagle jumps in to save him. On land they are attacked by Sea Anemone Monger. He attacks Eagle and Panther a bit before being hit with a vulcan stick and runs. At the hospital the siblings are still tense with the zero girls wondering around. 04 throws a bomb at Shark and runs. Outside Eagle and Panther return mentioning the siblings. Upon checking the room they find they nabbed Hiroshi.
Black Magma searches for the treasure on a boat with Hiroshi being yelled and slapped at for not being specific with the location. Hiroshi yells he no longer cares about money and 01 mentions she will kill his sister if he does not spill it. Namiko starts yelling from a cliff saying she will cooperate if Hiroshi is unharmed. The trio watch as the exchange takes place and it turns out Misa was posing as Namiko. She tries running only for Sea Anemone Monger to catch her. Namiko gets 01's knife in her shoulder before Sun Vulcan intervenes with intros and decimation of grunts. Man Red still attacks grunts while Shark and Panther fight the monger. Both sides beat each other up a bit before the Vulcan Ball is used on Sea Anemone Monger. After the explosion Sea Anemone Monger grows, destroying the local real estate value and Eagle summons Jaguar. Once Jaguar lands Cosmo and Bull launch to form SVR. Kind of a tangent, but why are Bull's connected before combining with Cosmo since they form the legs? Anyway, Sea Anemone Monger uses his ropes and zambatou until SVR over powers him. Once the Vulcan Guns and Fire Punch knocks Sea Anemone Monger around a bit he is finished by the Reversal. The more I think of it the more I think this move inspired the Gavan Dynamic. The episode ends with the siblings seeing their mother's grave and Hiroshi being sorry. Next episode shows some old guy being attacked by machinemen and one machineman being frozen in liquid nitrogen.

Episode 22:
In a cave some machinemen spray something on a pair of frogs. The zero girls walk in demanding more testing on fossilizing water. After an alarm we see Horseshoe Crab Monger drinking the fossilizing water with 03 noticing it is leaking into the river. Cut to a man finishing and hooking a trout. He notices it is all white before Horseshoe Crab Monger's men attack and he fossilizes him. At Snack Safari some girl named Hiromi is said her dad sent missing (by context clues he is the fisherman). After they talk a lot we see Black Magma analyzing the fisherman noting he is still alive. Panther is seen with Misa and Hiromi before Horseshoe Crab Monger and his squad attacks them. Once the girls run Panther fights the machinemen. Horseshoe Crab nearly slays Panther until he transforms although he is sprayed with fossilizing gas. Misa radios in and Jaguar takes off. The machinemen easily overpower Panther with Hiromi finding her dad's fishing spool. Jaguar fires some missiles and Horseshoe Crab Monger and the machinemen flee. Misa notices Hiromi walked off. Meanwhile Hiromi falls in a hole. At the river Shar notices the trout from earlier and Eagle tells the commander who informs a dam about it. Must be going on for more than a day because water shortages occur all over Tokyo. Hell Satan and Hedrian laugh about it and 01 suggests getting to a factory. Meanwhile Hiromi finds herself unable to get out and has a flashback of her dad before a machineman knocks her out. During this the heroes sneak around following Black Magma. The trio is soon attacked by grenades while Misa sees a pair of jeeps with drums. Panther attacks them with 03 and 04 watching. The fossilizing water explodes after the jeeps crash and mines go off when the machinemen attack him and Eagle and Shark. The rest of Black Magma runs off.
01 wants to repay Sun Vulcan with a bloodbath and sends everyone out. During this the heroes search an empty portion of their cave base. Here we find out the fisherman is named Ninoimiya. Meanwhile Ninoimiya is in the same cell Hiromi was taken to and she starts crying. Shark and Panther beat up some machinemen for a bit before the latter and Misa find Hiromi and Ninoimiya. Panther concludes that Hiromi's tears have started to thaw him out, I conclude you can just brush off the snowy residue. However the heroes find themselves unable to escape with 01 and the monger leading the charge while a squad of hell fighters attacks Jaguar. This fails and Jaguar's chained claw causes a cave in that allows the heroes to escape. During the cave in an explosion behind 01 happens which somehow kills her. In her dying breath she screams "Long live Hell Satan". Outside Eagle waits for the others before the trio engage against Horseshoe Crab Monger for intros and slamming machinemen. Horseshoe Crab Monster tries gasing them, but after a bit of assaulting from Sun Vulcan he is given the Vulcan Ball. Horseshoe Crab Monster grows complete with rock kicking and Cosmo and Bull being launched from Jaguar to form SVR. For once the monger is as large as SVR, ha. However, SVR still manages to withstand Horseshoe Crab Monster's attacks and after using the Vulcan Flash and Solar Screw it finishes him via Reversal. Hell Satan curses Sun Vulcan for killing 01 while the heroes celebrate with a cake sale. Random. Next episode shows Amazon Killer arriving and a raid on Iron Claw Castle.

Episode 23:
Hedrian chants Amazon Kiler to come to Earth (aren't Vaders from another dimension?). A capsule crashes atop the castle and Amazon Killer pops out read to fight like A! MA! ZON! Hedrian introduces her and mentions Banriki Baoh. Machinemen attack her only to get the snot beaten out of them followed by explosive eye flashes. The zero girls fail to fend her off and Hell Satan is impressed as Hedrian laughs. Cut to a red comet over Tokyo which crashes at a mountain. The next day scientists and the news are on the scene with comments on it being an alien. The organic meteor is taken to Sun Vulcan's base with CC being afraid of it and the commander having it placed in a storage room. However the meteor opens an eye when nobody is looking. At Snack Safari above ground there is more alien talk until some oddball guy named Sukehachi Yazawa walks in with the commander claiming he is a new apprentice. Man he likes flashing his shirt. Kids walk in claiming their dog is scared followed by the animals of Safari Park being spooked. Down below the meteor absorbs cold air and hatches Great Octopus Monger who is basically Octoman with long tentacles and more light blue. After freezing two guards he escapes. Hell Satan appears as a hologram saying they fell for his trap. and everyone runs around to find the monger. Great Octopus Monger tries taking Misa with him only for the trio to fend him off. Panther is told to get the animals to a safe place as the commander notes he is emitting ultrasonic waves. This reaches Iron Claw Castle and hell fighters are sent out. An oil refinery is attacked by Great Octopus Monger setting fire to the area. Jaguar's hatch is soon burried in the hanger from the explosions and Amazon Killer confronts Sun Vulcan. Great Octopus Monger attacks the trio as they do intros and fight off machinemen. Sun Vulcan assaults Great Octopus Monger all at once before using the Vulcan Ball. Once the monger grows he flings rocks and Amazon Killer uses explosive flashes.
At the base the commander tries calling for help with no luck. He has Jaguar launch.... From a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOCATION. Seriously, an underground base appears from the ground and opens up so it can launch. Jaguar fires a pair of missiles at Black Magma before the trio can launch Cosmo and Bull to form SVR. The two giants clash with Great Octopus Monger whipping it up until he gets a Vulcan Flash followed by the Vulcan Tonfa. Once SVR is disarmed the Solar Sword is used a bit before finishing Great Octopus Monger via Reversal. After that the new launch platform base keeps opening up parts of itself before a helicopter flies around Jaguar and lands on it. The pilot gets out and pilots Jaguar into the base platform to land. Outside Eagle recognizes helicopter pilot and tells Shark and Panther he was a classmate. Misa offers showing them the new base with the commander greeting them. Upon doing so he says NASA is leaving for NASA as they need his piloting skills and he accepts. Before leaving and helping with a space colony the title of Eagle goes to the helicopter pilot who transforms. I wonder if this NASA project is tied into Super-1.... Next episode shows everyone at a lake and the new Eagle fighting Black Magma only to be chained to a boat.

Episode 24:
Snack Safari has some guy advertising really cheap curry. In the news a monster has appeared in Lake Hamada which looks like Nessie (so why do they call it a kappa?). Everyone except Eagle does some weird Nessie dance and the commander has him go out after dealing with a lot of hungry children. He cruises in the Land Vulcan until he finds a hotel where he meets a spiffy photographer. Eagle looks around the lake on a boat called the Fujino when Water Bug Monger attacks him. Soon they both go overboard and fight in really shallow water (nice editing there!). On shore machinemen lead by the zero girls gun him down before surrounding Eagle before he transforms. He turns his vulcan stick into a katana and fights off the machinemen complete with explosions. Once Eagle radios in Shark and Panther rush to his aid. Eagl finds himself in a desery before he finds a mother and daughter with the latter collapsed. However the mother reveals herself to be Amazon Killer and tries killing Eagle with her knife and her "daughter" was a doll that fires an eye laser at him. Not going to lie, that is creative. Eagle turns back for some reason and a pair of machinemen grab him. At the base the commander looks at his old family scroll which reveals that after Osaka Castle was burned 350 years ago (historians is this true?) his ancestors' ninja clan hid a ton of treasure in Lake Hamada after fighting a rival white ninja clan. At the lake the machinemen find some old boxes at the lake while Eagle is changed in the Land Vulcan. After that they take him to a cell in a cave base. Hedrian yells at why he is not dead yet.
Shark and Panther ride their motorcycles a bit and split up. The zero girls tell Amazon Killer who order Eagle to be killed on a speed boat with dynamite. Shark and Panther spot this and somehow get speed boats to follow. However Black Magma ambushes them on speed boats too and open fire. A few machinemen attack their boats from underwater, but fail. Once the dynamite is almost ready to set Black Magma retreats. However, Eagle manages to break his chains and jump underwater before the boat explodes. The trio ambushes Black Magma shortly after complete with Eagle jumping half a kilometer into the air before transforming. Tokusatsu is weird. With that Sun Vulcan does their intros and give grunts a beat down. Not much as changed aside from the new Eagle using his katan more than fists. Water Big Monger uses his teleportation to mess with Shark and Panther until Eagle jumps in and duels with him. Also his katana emits ground surges which are used to stun Water Bug Monger until he gets a face full of Vulcan Ball. After that Water Bug Monster grows to kick rocks and Eagle has Jaguar launch so Cosmo and Bull can form SVR. Water Bug Monger manages to fend off SVR a bit and even manages to match it in height. However, that does not stop him from being stunned by the Solar Screw and Water Big Monger explodes after being touched by the Reversal. Seriously, it only cuts him a bit before going boom. On the lake the heroes find Panther diving despite how he cannot swim (theory debunked) and he looks for treasure. Next episode shows black KKK outfits at a village and a snake exploding.

Episode 25:
People dressed in black Klu Klux Klan outfits take a teenage girl from her dad until Eagle whoops them. He unmasks one and said they will sacrifice her to their serpent god. After the group runs Eagle goes to a beach where the zero girls try gunning him down followed by Amazon Killer spawning explosions from her knife. Suddenly he is thrown into the water by Sea Snake Monster. Cut to Shark and Panther motorcycling their way to the scene where they see Sea Serpent Monger- BWAHAHAHAHA! HE IS PUTTING SUN LOTION ON! Even Panther points this out! The monger runs int a cave with both of them following. Sea Snake Monger comments about his trap and turns into a snake to sneak out where he uses a detonator to set off explosives to seal them in. At Iron Claw Castle Amazon Killer points out their plans to cause a volcanic eruption near the coast because geothermal energy. At Snack Safari the kids play with tarot cards with the commander and Misa being annoyed. Meanwhile at a ship yard a brother and sister walk along the beach and spot Eagle passed out. Underground Shark and Panther find giant snake eggs while Eagle is sent to a hospital where he wakes up. The siblings give their names and their dad shows up explaining how they found him. They also tell him he is in Arasaki Village before the black KKK members return for more sacrificing. They try taking the daughter until Eagle fights them off with his fists and a stick. The cultists run with Eagle's injuries getting to him. He asks who they were with the dad saying they are worshippers of some serpent curse. Suddenly an earthquake occurs briefly and the siblings encourage Eagle stay. At the base Misa worries about the trio before we see Eagle radio in. Underground Shark and Panther throw their vulcan sticks to get out with the commander saying the village is fishy.
Black Magma looks over the magma when the cultists, who turn out to be machinemen, show up to report. During this Shark and Panther check the water and geography to check for suspicious activity. Eagle concludes there is magma excavation. The siblings watch Eagle working with Misa and they assume they are dating with the daughter running off. The son yells at Eagle saying she cared for him all night before we see the daughter at a rocky shore and Sea Serpent Monger nabs her and has her locked in a cell. Amazon Killer says she will be a useful hostage against Eagle and blames her for her capture. Meanwhile the heroes narrow down where Black Magma might be. Misa puts on a pink bikini to attract Sea Serpent Monger and it works as he follows her. Eagle throws a harpoon at him and machinemen retaliate only to fail. Sea Serpent Monger tries to strangle Eagle, but the hero fights back and beats him to the ground until Amazon Killer and the zero girls have the daughter hostage. Suddenly Shark and Panther appears to ruin that plan with Misa taking her to safety. After that Sun Vulcan does their intros and whomp grunts. Sea Serpent Monger keeps the trio on the ropes, but he is soon over powered and met with the Vulcan Ball. Sea Serpent Monger grows, somehow getting a cutlass, and Eagle has Jaguar launch so Cosmo and Bull can form SVR. The giants clash with Sea Serpent Monger briefly coiling SVR until it throws him. After that Sea Serpent Monger fires his guns only for the Solar Screw to blast him followed by his destruction via Reversal. On shore the family thanks the heroes and say they will be back. Next episode shows kids eating rice and Black Magma cooking at a restaurant.

Movie:
At a Guardians of World Peace base an old woman asks two guards when her grandson will be out and they reply he is working. Suddenly her cane fires a gun and she unsheathes a sword to take them out. Said old woman is revealed to be Amazon Killer with Fireworks Monger and his squad showing up. The monger grows big and destroys the area. Jaguar comes in only for Fireworks Monster to roll on it.... and Jaguar's eyes become dizzy.... Seriously. Jaguar uses its jaws to munch on Fireworks Monster's foot and he retaliates with a smoke grenade. Cut to Hell Satan throwing a fit with Hedrian suggesting an attack during a fireworks festival. Using toy models Amazon Killer suggests splitting them up during the attack so SVR cannot form. After that some mother has her kids walked off to school. She spots them being kidnapped by Amazon Killer. The police tail her soon after with her using a submachine gun to gun them down. A machineman in a helicopter starts throwing grenades while a squad fire bazookas at the cruisers. The two kids are taken on a helicopter. The commander has Eagle go at it alone with Shark pointing out a possible diversion. At a stadium Eagle is attacked by a doll who says they are at a hotel at Lake Hamana before self destructing. Meanwhile Amazon Killer's van is pulled over by a bike cop who notices nothing. At Snack Safari Misa tries cheering the mother up, but it does not help as she even has a flashback with them. Meanwhile at a construction site machinemen throw fireworks at Shark and Panther before going on the attack and failing. Fireworks Monger fires colored bombs and leaves a time bomb. We soon see there are many time bombs around the city and the two scramble around. During this the kidnapped kids are sad and attempt an escape in the woods until they are caught. Eagle looks around the hotel to no avail when he gets a phone call from Amazon Killer where to meet.
Eagle takes a speed boat to a rocky shore where Black Magma waits. Amazong Killer takes his ul brace. The children are forced into bags while Eagle is beaten up. After that Hell Satan has hell fighters launch with a helicopter being used to hang Eagle. Machinemen shoot at him with Amazon Killer firing at a rope. The other one severs and Eagle falls rather hard and runs. The pilot machineman throws grenades with Amazon Killer knocking him out via knife flash. However, he gets the drop on the machinemen, takes a machine gun, and takes his vul brace back. One vulcan stick throw later and the helicopter blows up. One machineman tells Eagle where the children are before dying and at the base the hell fighters are spotted. Shark and Panther launch Jaguar to terminate the hell fighters (more like they collide with it, but whatever). The Jaguar Bite is used again to finish the hell fighters and Eagle takes out the rest of the machinemen at the shore. The zero girls flee via speed boat and Eagle unbags the kids. Cosmo lands (I assume via autopilot) so they can board it while Fireworks Monger has his squad enit fireworks. Shark and Panther show up with a giant sign proclaiming they are idiots being lit. Eagle shows up and Sun Vulcan does their intros and machineman slaughter. The more I think of it the more super sentai fits very well with Dynasty Warriors. Fireworks Monger pulls out an umbrella with the heroes doing the same. After that the trio tackle Fireworks Monger and use the Vulcan Ball on him. Fireworks Monger grows and attacks a nearby oil refinery with Jaguar landing near the trio. After Jaguar throws the monger back, Cosmo fires some missiles and Bull comes out using the power crane to pull on his left leg. I am pretty sure Bull also has battering rams, but whatever, SVR is formed. I like how SVR just walks through some explosions. Anyway, Fireworks Monger tries his roll attack only for SVR to move out of the way and the Sun Sword stops him. Fireworks Monger meets his end via Reversal, strangely enough they did not show off the pose. The movie ends with the kids, their mother, and the heroes enjoying Lake Hamana because vacations and such.

Noting now this does not cover episodes 24 and 25 or the movie; I was going to ignore 23 if not for Eagle being switched out and I have a rant pertaining to him. Okay guys, get ready, sit down and have a drink, brace yourselves, and prepare to type angry comments.... I am not caring for this. It is not like it is bad or anything (it is not), but even for a toku series everything seems really underdeveloped. Hedrian coming back as a priestess made her less interesting, she used to have over the top emotions and whatnot, but now she has the personality of a standard commander of general. The zero girls lack personality (obviously) and I will reserve thoughts of Amazon Killer although she just seems like a beefed up version of 01. Hell Satan is also surprisingly inactive compared to his previous predecessors as well as Black Sun God, almost as if they barely do anything. I found myself wondering that, aside from those disguised as children, why use dark qs when you have machinemen? Their weapons never really work and they are just as fragile. Why are they not field commanders since they have taken them on in tests? The commander is just as good as his predecessors, no issue with him. Misa is more or less a glorified background character, but since she does not have a costume I will not hold it against her or compare her to the previous pink rangers. Speaking of the rangers Shark and Panther get a fair amount of episodes to one another. Then there is Eagle.... I dare say he is more lackluster than the first Ms. America, at least she had the first episode centered around her, this guy? He got NO episode centered on him and he is the friggin team leader! HOW DOES THAT WORK!? I will reserve judgment on his replacement for now, although two episodes and a movie in a row to catch up for lost time is a step in the right direction. The series itself seems a little more comical, almost to JAKQ levels. Overall I am still enjoying this, but man does it have development issues even for an old toku series. I mean there are less characters than the previous four sentai series, why not take advantage of it? I do look forward to the second half either way.

Once the girls run Panther fights the machinemen. Horseshoe Crab nearly slays Panther until he transforms although he is sprayed with fossilizing gas. Misa radios in and Jaguar takes off. The machinemen easily overpower Panther with Hiromi finding her dad's fishing spool. Jaguar fires some missiles and Horseshoe Crab Monger and the machinemen flee. Misa notices Hiromi walked off. Meanwhile Hiromi falls in a hole. At the river Shar notices the trout from earlier and Eagle tells the commander who informs a dam about it. Must be going on for more than a day because water shortages occur all over Tokyo. Hell Satan and Hedrian laugh about it and 01 suggests getting to a factory. Meanwhile Hiromi finds herself unable to get out and has a flashback of her dad before a machineman knocks her out. During this the heroes sneak around following Black Magma. The trio is soon attacked by grenades while Misa sees a pair of jeeps with drums. Panther attacks them with 03 and 04 watching. The fossilizing water explodes after the jeeps crash and mines go off when the machinemen attack him and Eagle and Shark. The rest of Black Magma runs off.
01 wants to repay Sun Vulcan with a bloodbath and sends everyone out. During this the heroes search an empty portion of their cave base. Here we find out the fisherman is named Ninoimiya. Meanwhile Ninoimiya is in the same cell Hiromi was taken to and she starts crying. Shark and Panther beat up some machinemen for a bit before the latter and Misa find Hiromi and Ninoimiya. Panther concludes that Hiromi's tears have started to thaw him out, I conclude you can just brush off the snowy residue. However the heroes find themselves unable to escape with 01 and the monger leading the charge while a squad of hell fighters attacks Jaguar. This fails and Jaguar's chained claw causes a cave in that allows the heroes to escape. During the cave in an explosion behind 01 happens which somehow kills her. In her dying breath she screams "Long live Hell Satan". Outside Eagle waits for the others before the trio engage against Horseshoe Crab Monger for intros and slamming machinemen. Horseshoe Crab Monster tries gasing them, but after a bit of assaulting from Sun Vulcan he is given the Vulcan Ball. Horseshoe Crab Monster grows complete with rock kicking and Cosmo and Bull being launched from Jaguar to form SVR. For once the monger is as large as SVR, ha. However, SVR still manages to withstand Horseshoe Crab Monster's attacks and after using the Vulcan Flash and Solar Screw it finishes him via Reversal. Hell Satan curses Sun Vulcan for killing 01 while the heroes celebrate with a cake sale. Random. Next episode shows Amazon Killer arriving and a raid on Iron Claw Castle.

Episode 23:
Hedrian chants Amazon Kiler to come to Earth (aren't Vaders from another dimension?). A capsule crashes atop the castle and Amazon Killer pops out read to fight like A! MA! ZON! Hedrian introduces her and mentions Banriki Baoh. Machinemen attack her only to get the snot beaten out of them followed by explosive eye flashes. The zero girls fail to fend her off and Hell Satan is impressed as Hedrian laughs. Cut to a red comet over Tokyo which crashes at a mountain. The next day scientists and the news are on the scene with comments on it being an alien. The organic meteor is taken to Sun Vulcan's base with CC being afraid of it and the commander having it placed in a storage room. However the meteor opens an eye when nobody is looking. At Snack Safari above ground there is more alien talk until some oddball guy named Sukehachi Yazawa walks in with the commander claiming he is a new apprentice. Man he likes flashing his shirt. Kids walk in claiming their dog is scared followed by the animals of Safari Park being spooked. Down below the meteor absorbs cold air and hatches Great Octopus Monger who is basically Octoman with long tentacles and more light blue. After freezing two guards he escapes. Hell Satan appears as a hologram saying they fell for his trap. and everyone runs around to find the monger. Great Octopus Monger tries taking Misa with him only for the trio to fend him off. Panther is told to get the animals to a safe place as the commander notes he is emitting ultrasonic waves. This reaches Iron Claw Castle and hell fighters are sent out. An oil refinery is attacked by Great Octopus Monger setting fire to the area. Jaguar's hatch is soon burried in the hanger from the explosions and Amazon Killer confronts Sun Vulcan. Great Octopus Monger attacks the trio as they do intros and fight off machinemen. Sun Vulcan assaults Great Octopus Monger all at once before using the Vulcan Ball. Once the monger grows he flings rocks and Amazon Killer uses explosive flashes.
At the base the commander tries calling for help with no luck. He has Jaguar launch.... From a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOCATION. Seriously, an underground base appears from the ground and opens up so it can launch. Jaguar fires a pair of missiles at Black Magma before the trio can launch Cosmo and Bull to form SVR. The two giants clash with Great Octopus Monger whipping it up until he gets a Vulcan Flash followed by the Vulcan Tonfa. Once SVR is disarmed the Solar Sword is used a bit before finishing Great Octopus Monger via Reversal. After that the new launch platform base keeps opening up parts of itself before a helicopter flies around Jaguar and lands on it. The pilot gets out and pilots Jaguar into the base platform to land. Outside Eagle recognizes helicopter pilot and tells Shark and Panther he was a classmate. Misa offers showing them the new base with the commander greeting them. Upon doing so he says NASA is leaving for NASA as they need his piloting skills and he accepts. Before leaving and helping with a space colony the title of Eagle goes to the helicopter pilot who transforms. I wonder if this NASA project is tied into Super-1.... Next episode shows everyone at a lake and the new Eagle fighting Black Magma only to be chained to a boat.

Episode 24:
Snack Safari has some guy advertising really cheap curry. In the news a monster has appeared in Lake Hamada which looks like Nessie (so why do they call it a kappa?). Everyone except Eagle does some weird Nessie dance and the commander has him go out after dealing with a lot of hungry children. He cruises in the Land Vulcan until he finds a hotel where he meets a spiffy photographer. Eagle looks around the lake on a boat called the Fujino when Water Bug Monger attacks him. Soon they both go overboard and fight in really shallow water (nice editing there!). On shore machinemen lead by the zero girls gun him down before surrounding Eagle before he transforms. He turns his vulcan stick into a katana and fights off the machinemen complete with explosions. Once Eagle radios in Shark and Panther rush to his aid. Eagl finds himself in a desery before he finds a mother and daughter with the latter collapsed. However the mother reveals herself to be Amazon Killer and tries killing Eagle with her knife and her "daughter" was a doll that fires an eye laser at him. Not going to lie, that is creative. Eagle turns back for some reason and a pair of machinemen grab him. At the base the commander looks at his old family scroll which reveals that after Osaka Castle was burned 350 years ago (historians is this true?) his ancestors' ninja clan hid a ton of treasure in Lake Hamada after fighting a rival white ninja clan. At the lake the machinemen find some old boxes at the lake while Eagle is changed in the Land Vulcan. After that they take him to a cell in a cave base. Hedrian yells at why he is not dead yet.
Shark and Panther ride their motorcycles a bit and split up. The zero girls tell Amazon Killer who order Eagle to be killed on a speed boat with dynamite. Shark and Panther spot this and somehow get speed boats to follow. However Black Magma ambushes them on speed boats too and open fire. A few machinemen attack their boats from underwater, but fail. Once the dynamite is almost ready to set Black Magma retreats. However, Eagle manages to break his chains and jump underwater before the boat explodes. The trio ambushes Black Magma shortly after complete with Eagle jumping half a kilometer into the air before transforming. Tokusatsu is weird. With that Sun Vulcan does their intros and give grunts a beat down. Not much as changed aside from the new Eagle using his katan more than fists. Water Big Monger uses his teleportation to mess with Shark and Panther until Eagle jumps in and duels with him. Also his katana emits ground surges which are used to stun Water Bug Monger until he gets a face full of Vulcan Ball. After that Water Bug Monster grows to kick rocks and Eagle has Jaguar launch so Cosmo and Bull can form SVR. Water Bug Monger manages to fend off SVR a bit and even manages to match it in height. However, that does not stop him from being stunned by the Solar Screw and Water Big Monger explodes after being touched by the Reversal. Seriously, it only cuts him a bit before going boom. On the lake the heroes find Panther diving despite how he cannot swim (theory debunked) and he looks for treasure. Next episode shows black KKK outfits at a village and a snake exploding.

Episode 25:
People dressed in black Klu Klux Klan outfits take a teenage girl from her dad until Eagle whoops them. He unmasks one and said they will sacrifice her to their serpent god. After the group runs Eagle goes to a beach where the zero girls try gunning him down followed by Amazon Killer spawning explosions from her knife. Suddenly he is thrown into the water by Sea Snake Monster. Cut to Shark and Panther motorcycling their way to the scene where they see Sea Serpent Monger- BWAHAHAHAHA! HE IS PUTTING SUN LOTION ON! Even Panther points this out! The monger runs int a cave with both of them following. Sea Snake Monger comments about his trap and turns into a snake to sneak out where he uses a detonator to set off explosives to seal them in. At Iron Claw Castle Amazon Killer points out their plans to cause a volcanic eruption near the coast because geothermal energy. At Snack Safari the kids play with tarot cards with the commander and Misa being annoyed. Meanwhile at a ship yard a brother and sister walk along the beach and spot Eagle passed out. Underground Shark and Panther find giant snake eggs while Eagle is sent to a hospital where he wakes up. The siblings give their names and their dad shows up explaining how they found him. They also tell him he is in Arasaki Village before the black KKK members return for more sacrificing. They try taking the daughter until Eagle fights them off with his fists and a stick. The cultists run with Eagle's injuries getting to him. He asks who they were with the dad saying they are worshippers of some serpent curse. Suddenly an earthquake occurs briefly and the siblings encourage Eagle stay. At the base Misa worries about the trio before we see Eagle radio in. Underground Shark and Panther throw their vulcan sticks to get out with the commander saying the village is fishy.
Black Magma looks over the magma when the cultists, who turn out to be machinemen, show up to report. During this Shark and Panther check the water and geography to check for suspicious activity. Eagle concludes there is magma excavation. The siblings watch Eagle working with Misa and they assume they are dating with the daughter running off. The son yells at Eagle saying she cared for him all night before we see the daughter at a rocky shore and Sea Serpent Monger nabs her and has her locked in a cell. Amazon Killer says she will be a useful hostage against Eagle and blames her for her capture. Meanwhile the heroes narrow down where Black Magma might be. Misa puts on a pink bikini to attract Sea Serpent Monger and it works as he follows her. Eagle throws a harpoon at him and machinemen retaliate only to fail. Sea Serpent Monger tries to strangle Eagle, but the hero fights back and beats him to the ground until Amazon Killer and the zero girls have the daughter hostage. Suddenly Shark and Panther appears to ruin that plan with Misa taking her to safety. After that Sun Vulcan does their intros and whomp grunts. Sea Serpent Monger keeps the trio on the ropes, but he is soon over powered and met with the Vulcan Ball. Sea Serpent Monger grows, somehow getting a cutlass, and Eagle has Jaguar launch so Cosmo and Bull can form SVR. The giants clash with Sea Serpent Monger briefly coiling SVR until it throws him. After that Sea Serpent Monger fires his guns only for the Solar Screw to blast him followed by his destruction via Reversal. On shore the family thanks the heroes and say they will be back. Next episode shows kids eating rice and Black Magma cooking at a restaurant.

At a Guardians of World Peace base an old woman asks two guards when her grandson will be out and they reply he is working. Suddenly her cane fires a gun and she unsheathes a sword to take them out. Said old woman is revealed to be Amazon Killer with Fireworks Monger and his squad showing up. The monger grows big and destroys the area. Jaguar comes in only for Fireworks Monster to roll on it.... and Jaguar's eyes become dizzy.... Seriously. Jaguar uses its jaws to munch on Fireworks Monster's foot and he retaliates with a smoke grenade. Cut to Hell Satan throwing a fit with Hedrian suggesting an attack during a fireworks festival. Using toy models Amazon Killer suggests splitting them up during the attack so SVR cannot form. After that some mother has her kids walked off to school. She spots them being kidnapped by Amazon Killer. The police tail her soon after with her using a submachine gun to gun them down. A machineman in a helicopter starts throwing grenades while a squad fire bazookas at the cruisers. The two kids are taken on a helicopter. The commander has Eagle go at it alone with Shark pointing out a possible diversion. At a stadium Eagle is attacked by a doll who says they are at a hotel at Lake Hamana before self destructing. Meanwhile Amazon Killer's van is pulled over by a bike cop who notices nothing. At Snack Safari Misa tries cheering the mother up, but it does not help as she even has a flashback with them. Meanwhile at a construction site machinemen throw fireworks at Shark and Panther before going on the attack and failing. Fireworks Monger fires colored bombs and leaves a time bomb. We soon see there are many time bombs around the city and the two scramble around. During this the kidnapped kids are sad and attempt an escape in the woods until they are caught. Eagle looks around the hotel to no avail when he gets a phone call from Amazon Killer where to meet.
Eagle takes a speed boat to a rocky shore where Black Magma waits. Amazong Killer takes his ul brace. The children are forced into bags while Eagle is beaten up. After that Hell Satan has hell fighters launch with a helicopter being used to hang Eagle. Machinemen shoot at him with Amazon Killer firing at a rope. The other one severs and Eagle falls rather hard and runs. The pilot machineman throws grenades with Amazon Killer knocking him out via knife flash. However, he gets the drop on the machinemen, takes a machine gun, and takes his vul brace back. One vulcan stick throw later and the helicopter blows up. One machineman tells Eagle where the children are before dying and at the base the hell fighters are spotted. Shark and Panther launch Jaguar to terminate the hell fighters (more like they collide with it, but whatever). The Jaguar Bite is used again to finish the hell fighters and Eagle takes out the rest of the machinemen at the shore. The zero girls flee via speed boat and Eagle unbags the kids. Cosmo lands (I assume via autopilot) so they can board it while Fireworks Monger has his squad enit fireworks. Shark and Panther show up with a giant sign proclaiming they are idiots being lit. Eagle shows up and Sun Vulcan does their intros and machineman slaughter. The more I think of it the more super sentai fits very well with Dynasty Warriors. Fireworks Monger pulls out an umbrella with the heroes doing the same. After that the trio tackle Fireworks Monger and use the Vulcan Ball on him. Fireworks Monger grows and attacks a nearby oil refinery with Jaguar landing near the trio. After Jaguar throws the monger back, Cosmo fires some missiles and Bull comes out using the power crane to pull on his left leg. I am pretty sure Bull also has battering rams, but whatever, SVR is formed. I like how SVR just walks through some explosions. Anyway, Fireworks Monger tries his roll attack only for SVR to move out of the way and the Sun Sword stops him. Fireworks Monger meets his end via Reversal, strangely enough they did not show off the pose. The movie ends with the kids, their mother, and the heroes enjoying Lake Hamana because vacations and such.

Noting now this does not cover episodes 24 and 25 or the movie; I was going to ignore 23 if not for Eagle being switched out and I have a rant pertaining to him. Okay guys, get ready, sit down and have a drink, brace yourselves, and prepare to type angry comments.... I am not caring for this. It is not like it is bad or anything (it is not), but even for a toku series everything seems really underdeveloped. Hedrian coming back as a priestess made her less interesting, she used to have over the top emotions and whatnot, but now she has the personality of a standard commander of general. The zero girls lack personality (obviously) and I will reserve thoughts of Amazon Killer although she just seems like a beefed up version of 01. Hell Satan is also surprisingly inactive compared to his previous predecessors as well as Black Sun God, almost as if they barely do anything. I found myself wondering that, aside from those disguised as children, why use dark qs when you have machinemen? Their weapons never really work and they are just as fragile. Why are they not field commanders since they have taken them on in tests? The commander is just as good as his predecessors, no issue with him. Misa is more or less a glorified background character, but since she does not have a costume I will not hold it against her or compare her to the previous pink rangers. Speaking of the rangers Shark and Panther get a fair amount of episodes to one another. Then there is Eagle.... I dare say he is more lackluster than the first Ms. America, at least she had the first episode centered around her, this guy? He got NO episode centered on him and he is the friggin team leader! HOW DOES THAT WORK!? I will reserve judgment on his replacement for now, although two episodes and a movie in a row to catch up for lost time is a step in the right direction. The series itself seems a little more comical, almost to JAKQ levels. Overall I am still enjoying this, but man does it have development issues even for an old toku series. I mean there are less characters than the previous four sentai series, why not take advantage of it? I do look forward to the second half either way.
