Russell T Davies' new series is getting great reviews

[Century]

Russell T. Davies' latest show, his first since leaving Doctor Who, has scored impressively on Rotten Tomatoes, being hailed as one of the best of 2026. The praise highlights Davies' knack for storytelling, which has been a hallmark of his work. It's exciting to see his return yielding such positive reactions!

I'm really looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table with this new series.

Not to rain on the parade, but I'm a little wary of the "best of 2026" claim. I mean, we've seen shows get hyped like this and then not really deliver in the long run. Davies is a genius for sure, but I hope the series has more to offer than just his name attached to it.
