I've heard there is a store in Calgary that sell "Japanese Imported Toys" ie. Rider and Sentai.

I know it's not Megazone, but they do sell Gundam stuff (sweet).
I figure is just a small shop somewhere in Chinatown.

Damned if i can find it.

^ Gotta go ask my relatives to find a store and buy me something

Also, does anyone know if Smart Maple sells any rider or sentai stuff anymore? I remember seeing some SH Figuarts before. Never gone in one after seeing only Gundams

I only ever see Gundams at Smart Maple when it comes to toys. They sometimes have Kamen Rider trading figures too... but that's pretty much all I've seen. :disappoin

btw Emp, have you ever gone to Toys2 recently? Cause I want to know what Rider stuff they have now. But I hate the guy inside so much that I don't want to set foot in his store unless I'm dead certain that there's something in there that I want to buy. Plus there usually no one inside, and if I go in, his attention will be directed at me and a blast of dirty looks will follow suite

You're out of luck then...because those two stores are the ONLY places I can think of in Toronto that sells those kinds of figures...

Last I saw, they had some S.H.Figuarts exclusives (Rising Ixa and possibly Skull? I didn't get a clear look at the other exclusives I saw on their glass shelf behind the counter.) Heh, the exclusives are behind the counter so more than likely you will have to interact with the guy no matter how much you hate him. Though I also saw quite a number of some regular release S.H.Figuarts stacked up, but I don't remember what they were though as there wasn't anything I was looking for at the time. I was in to pick up a set of Gundam markers and left.

Why don't you use Middleman services? Or buy from online stores?

It's going to be WAY cheaper even with shipping if you just ordered online for these kinds of things.

Agreed. I bet that's likely what the store does too. They probably use a middleman as well and then when you get it from Toys2, you're paying yet another markup because of them. Just guessing, but it's possible that their overseas distributor / supplier uses a middleman (that's 2 markups already right there, some gain for the distributor AND the middleman), and then Toys2 applies another markup to make something (3 markups already). The more people it goes through, the more markups you pay because nobody's going to do stuff for free. :disappoin

Yeah, that's what I'm currently doing. The only problem I have is the shipping time, I'm pretty impatient
Also, I can't seem to find a decent online store :shakefist

I remember seeing some Kamen Rider candy toy at Fantasy Box for like $10. I found it online yesterday for like 350 yen

HLJ is usually the go to place. Also, check out the Toy forums here for a list of middleman.
