Best Comics for Fans of Historical Fiction?

[MartianManhunter51]

I've been really into historical fiction lately, especially stories that blend real events with unique characters. I've read "March" by John Lewis, which I loved for its powerful storytelling. I'm curious if there are other comic series or graphic novels with a similar vibe, maybe something that gets into different periods or cultures. What would you recommend for someone looking to explore more in this genre?

"March" is such a powerful read, John Lewis's storytelling is really something special. It reminds me of "Persepolis" by Marjane Satrapi, which beautifully blends personal narrative with historical events during the Islamic Revolution in Iran. The way Satrapi presents her experiences gives a real sense of cultural context. Have you checked that one out?
