2 Batmen.....Eh, I can deal with that. I can see in the longrun Dick becoming the lone Batman and Bruce becoming something like Oracle. This is sounding better

Neither could any of the people who turned batman so dark and gritty to begin with. Honestly for me this idea seems like a natural progression for Bruce. After all he's been through I don't think he's that "GRRR GET OUT OF MY CITY" type of guy anymore.Again I am left to wonder if Morrison honestly doesn't understand who Bruce Wayne is? First he has him use a gun in Final Crisis and now he has him abandoning Gotham City. This is a basic aspect of the character that Morrison is throwing away. Bruce's goal is to clean-up Gotham and given the option he would never hand that off to anyone else. Has no one learned from Final Crisis Morrison can't do in-continuity stories.
This is just one giant cash-grab by DC
Honestly it's not, it is a contrived change that has no basis in any story before now. For nearly 70 years Batman has been about Gotham, even when he is with the JLA he always comes back to Gotham. When does have international adventures it is almost always connected to some crime that has happened in Gotham. Having Bruce shift the burden onto to Dick on the weight of 4 or 5 issues alone is a contrivance by Morrison. This is what he does, just look at his New X-Men run. He isn't bad writer he just has no respect for continuity and despite the crap both Quesada and DiDio spout continuity is vital for an ongoing serial.Neither could any of the people who turned batman so dark and gritty to begin with.
