360 Flash Drives and Hard Drives

Okay, so I'm sorta short on money. I don't really have enough for a 250gb HardDrive for my 360. I'm kinda worried about my 360 because now I only have 2.5gb out of 4gb left on it.

I don't play a lot, but I'm sure if I get more games, it's bound to get big. Is getting one of the 360 Flash Drives a good "substitute" and even it out a bit until I can get HardDrive?

And people talk about putting the games from the disks and "installing" them to the Harddrive or something so they don't have to play them on disks anymore. How much space does that take up?

Games varry from 4gigs up to 7gigs. Also if you are playing games directly from the disc every time you play, then you are seriously wearing down your 360. You should invest in an HDD for your 360. At least a 20gig.

Like kingranger said deffinetly invest in a 20gb HDD, they run so much quiter when installed to HDD on a side note I just sold my 1st xbox with a 20gb HDD to my friend for £30 :) mostly cause im such a nice person, partly because I have another xbox 360, ps3 slim and a wii XD .... most likely will be getting the slim xbox 360 later this year too  but anyway my point is you can pick up a 20gb HDD very cheaply these days, and if your into modding you can replace the 20gb HDD in the case with a larger laptop HDD ... just dont ask me how as I hav'nt done it myself.

If you have an older edition of the 360 (which would be the Arcades and Elites), you're better off getting a 20 gb HDD until you have the money for a 250 gb HDD like everyone else here has stated.

But if you have the new 360 Slim, newsflash for all the people that are advocating for a 20 GB HDD, the new 360 Slims DON'T HAVE A 20 GB Hard Drive available for sale. The only HDDs that are being sold seperately in stores and online for the new 360 Slims are the 4 GBs and the 250 GBs.

So if you have a 360 Slim, you're better off with getting the Xbox 360 compatible flash drive until you have the money for the 250 gig.

Yeah I don't think he has a slim from previous discussions, so I didn't mention that.

Sorry. Maybe I should've specified.

I actually...DO have the 360 Slim. I forgot to be specific about the HDD, but all I have is my cousin's 60gb for the older model. They don't sell the older model 360s anymore, so I may have to get the 8gb flash drive ($40) or the 250gb HDD ($130). There's a 16gb for $70, but honestly, $130 almost twice as more as $70, but 16 is nowhere near half of 250. I might as well get the 8gb is I'm REALLY in an emergency.

I'm only playing one game, anyway. You think Tales of Vesperia (apparantly, each save file takes up more space in the harddrive) can fit in an 8gb?
