Hmm, according to Wiki she is associated with Venus (a goddess of love/feminine sexuality) and since that relates to the connotations of peach in Japan ...

Was curious about that - where did you read about the connotations of the peach in Japan? I was trying to find a solid source to read up on after you mentioned it but couldn't find any immediate results.

however, that leaves us with 02 Kurumi(Walnut), a C+ Rank Lock Seed stuck between Matsubokkuri and Donguri, and since Matsubokkuri is C Rank and usable, I think it can be assumed that down the line there will be an Armored Rider who uses Kurumi

I thought they must be saving it for something since the image for it on the official site has a blank open view;

It seems very much like a prop they intend to use at some point. My crazy theory is that they'll save it for a summer movie as a mass-produced grunt. It's C+ which means it's a decent Class for that sort of thing.

But more realistically, since they ended up releasing Himawari as an Inves Game Lockseed, maybe they'll release this one in the same way later on, sort of like a "reissue" of that Lockseed type. I'd find it weird if they DON'T make toys of every single one. If I was collecting these it'd drive me batty. :laugh:

I don't know, sorry Lynxara mentioned it to me on Twitter - she said a while back that if Gaim got a female Rider they were likely to be Peach. I have read that some women artists in Japan prefer to use peach blossom in their work instead of sakura blossom which is associated with short life/violent death in battle, IIRC that might be in a book I have about Japanese gardens, I'll have a look for it ...

I dunno, considering it's placement in the number order and its rank, it'd make no sense not to have it be used by at least one Armored Rider. besides that, the current image on the TV-Asahi Gaim website just has it locked and closed, meaning they took back the opened one.

They originally showed all lock seeds closed and opened once it appeared in the series. But I guess they took away the opened versions because it could be potential spoilers. Like how we recognised that Kurokage used Matsubokkuri once the scans came up because we know the weapon that was associated with the lock seed.

okay, well at least that gives them time to actually do something with Kurumi, especially since we don't yet know what Candy Toy/Gashapon set it'll be released in, and even the Himawari Lock Seed at least has stickers on the inside. also, considering how the old image of it opened has a hinge in the same style as the CT/Gasha Lock Seeds, it's clear that that's not what the final product will look like

But has it been confirmed that Akira won't be one of the Riders?

She is female. By default they are not Rider material. I doubt any of the current female characters in Gaim will become Riders not even Mai (who I honestly think has the best chance by virtue of being of one of the show's 5 mains).

Strangely enough, the ELS is labeled as 01, the same as Lemon ELS.....

Or maybe it isn't Energy LS but something else?

Thanks for posting the pic. Wonder why whenever we get pictures of upcoming stuff, it's always so tiny. Cameras are capable of taking pretty large sized photo's nowadays...

Seems like Gaim's lockseed has another function on the side... maybe it works with the DJ Gun coming out?

The text refers to it as the Kachidoki Lockseed at the top. I did a quick search and one definition of Kachidoki is "A shout or cry of victory". Really odd looking design. I'm a bit suspicious due to the use of ELS: 01 as its code, though it's possible it's heavily distorted and is meant to be 07, like the Orange Lockseed. I had trouble telling whether Orange was 7 or 1 when we got initial images, lol.
