Ash vs Evil Dead: Lee Majors & Ted Raimi Join the Cast
Starz has officially announced this week that actors Lee Majors and Ted Raimi are joining the cast of the hit series Ash vs Evil Dead for the show’s second season. Lee Majors will portray the role of Brock Williams, the father of Ash! Ted Raimi has been cast in the role of Ash’s childhood best friend, Chet Kaminski. The second season is set to debut on Starz later this year.
Majors, who is probably most well known in his role as Steve Austin in The Six Million Dollar Man, not to mention numerous other film and TV roles. Ted Raimi has been a regular for Sam Raimi and Robert Taper’s film and TV shows, quite appropriate since he is the younger brother of Sam Raimi. Raimi has appeared in all three of the original Evil Dead films.
Ash vs Evil Dead Season 2 will consist of 10 half-hour episodes. Bruce Campbell will return in the role of Ash Williams. Lucy Lawless will be back as Ruby, who now currently possesses the Necronomicon. Ray Santiago will be back as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ash’s loyal sidekick, who is still dealing with the trauma he suffered at the cabin. And Dana DeLorenzo will be back as Kelly Maxwell, who is still grief-stricken regarding the death of her parents and still wants revenge against the Deadites. Sam Raimi executive produces the show alongside Robert Tapert, Bruce Campbell, Ivan Raimi and Craig DiGregorio, who is also the showrunner. Aaron Lam and Moira Grant are producing the show.
The premiere date for season 2 will be revealed later on.
