Moana Live Action announced by Dwayne Johnson

Moana is the Disney Animated Film to get a Live action remake! Dwayne The Rock Johnson, will also reprise his role as The God Maui. I wonder if he will stay bald or if is he going to sport a wig. I have a feeling Auli’i Cravalho won’t be playing Moana.  She is not a teenager anymore she has commitments with other companies now.  An Unknown actress will probably get this opportunity and make a name for herself.

Moana is one of the most successful modern animated Disney movies. It made $682.6 million  at the box office. The movie showcases Polynesian culture and becomes the first mainstream animated film to do so.

In the Disney animated film “Moana,” a Polynesian girl named Moana sets out on an ocean voyage to save her island from a curse. Along the way, she meets a demigod named Maui, and the two of them work together to overcome obstacles in order to heal Te Fiti’s heart and save Moana’s people. Moana eventually discovers her true identity and becomes well-known in her hometown.

Moana Live-Action announcement

This is a shocking announcement since Moana is very recent, and it can still hold up. Furthermore, she is one of the few Disney Princesses who have no love interest. Additionally, she and Maui share a platonic friendship, where he serves as her mentor.

Moving on, Disney has recently announced the release of live-action adaptations of their classics such as The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan, which will be in theaters this year. Despite this, most of the Classic Disney Princesses films have already had live-action movies like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, “Beauty and the Beast,” and Mulan. Moreover, a live-action Snow White is currently in production.

The makers of Moana’s live-action adaptation expect to release it in theaters in 2025, which will make it the first 3D-era animated film to become live-action.

I really wish you hadn't beat me to this one because it really needed a layer of cynicism to it. This is an incredibly desperate move by Disney and they should be embarrassed for themselves.

After what happened to Black Adam, I have a feeling this movie will flop. He will try to have creative control again until the budget gets bloated.

I can understand remaking movies from 40s to 90s because they are dated but Moana is watched by Niece on theaters years ago and My niece is still not undergoing puberty. Which means the movie is still not old enough to warrant a remake.

How are they going to face the Europe Issue, In Europe excluding Uk and Ireland, Moana is titled Vaiana because the name Moana is associated by most Europeans that are not from the Anglosphere to a Pornstar who entered Politics. Are they gonna rerecord the lines mentioning Moana's name?

For me a movie have to be 20 years old before you can remake it and Moana is not even 10 years old yet. This is Dwayne being control freak again after Black Adam.

The children who watched Moana years ago are still Children. Why would it need a remake? I remember Princess and the Frog is suppose to have a Remake but I guess because its Dwayne Johnson it got priortizied.

Dwayne Johnson obviously did this because he wanted an eventual Maui spin off because that is how egotistic he is. He use this to cope with the failure of having Black Adam into a movie franchise.

I don't understand the need for remakes and am generally not a fan of them because they often retell the same story with different actors.
