Prison Architect To Receive Last Content Update

The highly rated prison similar Prison Architect is set to receive its very last content update in the next few days. Developer Introversion has continued to support the game in the 10 months since its launch but now wants to move on to new projects, meaning that the only future patches for the title will address bugs and glitches that hamper gameplay.

Patch notes for the update reveal that the patch will improve the user interface, include a brand new build toolbar, and a context menu to allow for quicker selection of context sensitive actions. The studio has also included an undo button that will slowly remove any buildings and give the player a full refund. It has also added a small selection of in-game content in the form of new events, such as contraband surges, food poisoning, and mass tunnelling, in addition to new items like the large tv and arcade cabinet.

Prison Architect is a simulation game that allows players to build and manage their very own private prison. It was first released through the early access program on Steam in 2012 and saw an official release in 2015. It has since been ported to a number of other platforms, including Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game has become one of the most successful early access titles of all times, with sales of over 1 million copies and revenues of $10.7 million coming just from alpha version pre-orders.

Meanwhile, Introversion has revealed that it is working on two brand new projects. The first is Wrong Wire, a bomb disposal singleplayer game, while the second is Scanner Sombre. This is the game that the studio is concentrating on releasing over the coming months and sees players exploring a dark cave with a scanning laser.
