- Memorable Quote: “This is a drawing club. Would you like to join us?”
SUMMARY: The life of a shy student with low self-esteem changes when she’s invited into a colorful sketch club filled with expressive, supportive members. They aren’t artists, but they like drawing. That’s what matters. The group encourages the student to embrace her individuality and creativity.
♦ Is Spring Finally Coming for Me?
In “Spirit Fingers”, Song U-Yeon has two brothers and two best friends. She’s very fortunate to have best friends because in her family, her mother treats her like she’s invaluable and invisible. What’s worse? Song U-Yeon has started believing that she is invisible or at least, she shouldn’t be seen. She shrinks even smaller than that when confronted or approached by others. But one day …
A handsome young man named Koo Sun-Ho approached and asked if she would like to model for the drawing club. Song U-Yeon is completely baffled, mystified, confused … she experienced a wide range of emotions. She thinks to herself: ‘Is Spring finally coming for me?’ Is a handsome guy actually hitting on her? Is this what it’s like? No guy ever approached her before. What should she do?
The truth is Koo Sun-Ho’s request is perfectly innocent. All the guy really wants is for her to model for about 3 minutes. No pretense. That’s all he wanted. But … she’s still thinking a bazillion thoughts! What should she do? Uuuuhh?? … say Yes! Song U-Yeon agreed to be a model, and just like that, without even trying, she had met the most wonderful group of kindhearted and spirited people.
MEET the Spirit Fingers
Koo Sun-Ho (“Blue Finger”) — A gentle, talented vice-president known for his calm presence. He’s the one who first invites Song U-Yeon to model for the club. The club members each embody a “color” that reflects their individuality, confidence, and emotional energy. Here is the rest of the group:
- Nam Geu-Rin (“Mint Finger”) — The bright, cheerful president of the Spirit Fingers club who mentors Song U-Yeon and brings lively energy to the group.
- Hwang Bun-Hong (“Pink Finger”) — An expressive and upbeat club member whose bright personality adds warmth to the team dynamic.
- Ko Taeng-Ja (“Black Finger”) — A free-spirited, outspoken artist whose unpredictable ideas often surprise and challenge the group.
- Kwon Hyeok (“Khaki Finger”) — A quiet, detail-oriented artist who gradually opens up and becomes a steady presence in the club.
- Jang Dong-Geon (“Brown Finger”) — A dependable, structured member who helps keep the club organized and grounded.
They got her to join their group and gave Song U-Yeon the name “Baby Blue Finger”.
Nam Gi-Jung used to model for the group because of his sister, Nam Geu-Rin (“Mint Finger”). He decided to join the group because Song U-Yeon was in it and they named him “Red Finger”. Nam Gi-Jung (“Red Finger”) is the fiery, passionate member of Spirit Fingers whose bold personality and sharp honesty often shake up the group. He brings intensity, humor, and a bit of chaos, but beneath the tough exterior he’s deeply loyal and cares more than he lets on.
When You Get to Know Us, We’re Kind of Like You
As Song U-Yeon becomes more involved with the Spirit Fingers club, she discovers that each member is navigating their own struggles. Some face pressure from family expectations, others wrestle with insecurities masked by humor or flamboyance. These shared experiences create a tapestry of growth, friendship, and emotional healing. The club becomes a sanctuary where everyone can explore who they are without fear of judgment.
Song U-Yeon’s transformation is gradual but beautiful. Her journey is not just about becoming an artist but about finding her voice. Her self-expression is an act of courage. Who knew a sketch club could redraw a girl’s entire world?

The female lead in “Spirit Fingers” screams ADORABLE CUTENESS!! Not only her but all of the people who surround her. They are all just so darn syrupy sweet! It’s a fairy tale. This is one of those Korean dramas that you’re either LOVE or HATE. I’m on Team LOVE.
The ones who HATE will probably complain that it’s for a young audience and not adults. I agree. It’s a wholesome family-style K-drama. So if reviewers use words like “heartwarming”, “lighthearted”, and “charming”, those words are perfect!
