Moon Studios Releases Trailer for No Rest for the Wicked Together Co-op Update

This action RPG has had you going at it alone, but that’s about to change! No Rest for the Wicked will get a new co-op update soon!

Being the minds behind No Rest for the Wicked, Moon Studios has quite the track record. Being the minds behind both Ori games, Moon Studios stepped outside their usual zone of platforms to create something different. This led to the creation of an ARPG in the style of Diablo or Path of Exile in No Rest for the Wicked.

The game would launch onto Steam Early Access in April 2024, and would be updated throughout the years. It would get both bug fixes and content, keeping things fresh for players of the game. However, it now faces its latest update, which seeks to shake things up by the addition of a brand new co-op mode to enjoy.

AN ARPG SET IN A DARK FANTASY WORLD

Set on the island of Isola Sacra, you take the role of a member of a holy order known as the Cerim. You have the task of dealing with the ancient plague known as the Pestilence, while chaos consumes the area. There is a rich world to explore, brought to life with a vivid, dark fantasy art style.

The game takes after other ARPGs, with traditional dungeon crawling for loot as you level your character. However, the game takes cues from soulslike games, rewarding precise blows with victories, and thoughtless movement with death. Take care in how you move and fight as you build up your arsenal and character.

THE NEW CO-OP NO REST FOR THE WICKED TOGETHER UPDATE

The new update main claim to fame is the addition of a co-op mode to the game. Friends now share a single realm and progress alongside one another, not relying on a host to progress things. This grants players the chance to enjoy their personal realms without worrying about other player’s availability.

When playing in their realms, players can now explore and loot alongside one another. Friends can pair up and see how different character builds synergise with one another in fights. On top of this, housing is shared, and can be built up by everyone in the realm.

Starting up co-op is easy, only requiring an invite for your friends to join in. They can join in with a fresh character, or take a character they have already made and built up. Combined with a voting system to reign in chaos, any player from veterans to newbies can enjoy this new experience together!

The co-op update goes live on January 22, with the game being available through Steam. You can also No Rest for the Wicked and it’s updateย on the PopGeeks Video Game Forum!

Read original article here:

Thatโ€™s great news! Co-op gameplay can really add a new layer of depth to action RPGs like "No Rest for the Wicked." It can be so much fun navigating challenges with a friend instead of going it alone. Iโ€™m curious how theyโ€™ll handle the mechanics for co-op, will it be seamless integration, or more like a separate mode? Plus, I wonder if theyโ€™ll also introduce any new content alongside the co-op feature. Canโ€™t wait to see how it shapes up!

This update is gonna save the game for me. Stopped playing because solo got repetitive after a while even with the updates. Now I can convince my old Diablo crew to try it. Shared progress and housing is perfect โ€“ no one gets left behind. Combat is already satisfying, so watching builds combo off each other should be insane. Easy join system means we wonโ€™t waste time messing with invites. Moon Studios nailed it

Iโ€™m mixed. Love the gameโ€™s style and combat depth, but co-op might split focus too much. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere of Isola Sacra alone, figuring out builds in peace. Friends yelling over voice chat could kill that vibe. On the other hand, teaming up for harder content and building a base together does sound fun. Iโ€™ll give it a shot with one or two people max. If it feels chaotic Iโ€™m going back to solo. Still respect Moon for adding it properly instead of half-baked.

YESSSSS. Been telling my friends this game needs co-op since launch. The world is so detailed and creepy, exploring it together is gonna be way better. Different builds working together in fights sounds amazing โ€“ Iโ€™m already thinking poison archer plus melee tank. Shared house means we can actually make it look decent instead of my solo mess. Moon Studios took their time but this update feels right. Downloading the second it drops.

Okay but real talk โ€“ co-op is cool and all, but Iโ€™m worried itโ€™ll make the game too easy. The whole point was that punishing precision combat. If four people gang up on bosses, whereโ€™s the tension? Shared realm is nice though, no more waiting on the host. Iโ€™ll probably stick to duo with my brother so it stays hard. Still gonna check out the housing updates because decorating in these games is secretly addictive. Fingers crossed they donโ€™t nerf solo too much to balance co-op.

Played 80 hours solo and loved the challenge, but sharing the island with friends changes everything. Loot runs together, experimenting with builds side by side, upgrading the house as a team โ€“ thatโ€™s the stuff that keeps games alive long term. Easy invites mean my casual friends who gave up early can jump back in without starting over completely. Hope servers hold up because this is gonna get popular quick. Good job Moon.

Finally, co-op is here! Iโ€™ve been playing No Rest for the Wicked solo since early access dropped and itโ€™s brutal but so satisfying. The precise combat really clicks when you get it right. Now I can drag my buddy in who hates dying alone in soulslikes. Shared housing sounds cool too โ€“ weโ€™ll probably end up building some weird base full of random junk. Hope the invite system stays simple because last thing I need is more launcher headaches. Moon Studios actually listened for once. Canโ€™t wait to see how broken some builds get when we stack them together. This update might make me come back full time.
