After months of teasing, Free League has finally released the Dragonbane Bestiary — an expansion book for the Dragonbane RPG that adds 63 additional, never before seen monsters to the roster. The creatures of Dragonbane Bestiary are brought to life by artists Johan Egerkrans and David Brasgalla. The book contains info for nine new playable kin, each with their own unique ability, and as with Dragonbane itself, there are both physical and digital versions of the Bestiary. The physical is now available both in a standard edition and in a premium Collector’s Edition with a faux leather cover and gold foil print. Oh, will no good deed go unpunished? I suppose time will tell, but right now things are looking bleak indeed. I have wandered, ridden, climbed, crawled, and swum all over this earth; I have spoken with all manners of creatures, observed, analyzed, and recorded almost everything worth knowing about the people and beings of the world. And yet here I am, unthanked and crouched in a godforsaken crevice, hunted by several of the creatures that I’ve graciously included in my catalog. How astoundingly rude! – Theodora Sneezewort, one of a kind Free League is also releasing a Standee Set that includes all the creatures of the Bestiary, and a Battle Map to place them on. A hardback version of the Dragonbane Rulebook is also on the way, and like the Bestiary it too will be produced in a standard edition and a Collector’s Edition with a faux leather cover and gold foil print. Contents will be the same for the Rulebook, with the exception of an extra introductory adventure, The Castle of the Robber Knight. You can find the Dragonbane Bestiary both at the Free League webshop and DriveThruRPG (digital edition). Note that the game engine that Dragonbane runs on has been made open for fair use, and you are free to create DB-compatible products of your own.
