Neversoft to develop next year’s Call of Duty?
An eagle-eyed NeoGAF forum user has spotted that Neversoft Entertainment, the studio behind the finger-flipping Tony Hawk Pro Skater and finger-flexing Guitar Hero, is actively hiring staff for a future Call of Duty title.
‘Holy Wars’ came across this careers page, which declares that the team has moulded into “a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the First Person Action genre in support of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise”. Currently, Lead Multiplayer Level Designer, Lead Single-Player Level Designer, Level Designer, Master Technical Animator, Senior Concept Artist, Senior Environment Artist, Single Player Design Scripter and Sr. Level Designer positions are all up for grabs.
Given that Sledgehammer Games is also recruiting top talent for its CoD development team at the moment, our guess is that Neversoft might be collaborating with the Modern Warfare 3 co-creators on 2013’s instalment of the FPS series.
We’ll endeavour to keep you up-to-date as more information surfaces.
