Mars, The red planet has been a childhood fantasy for many people. This Red planet is barren with life and it is a cold desert. What we know about our celestial neighbor is about to change because Perseverance finally landed. This rover could change our perception of the red planet.
We are all excited if they will discover any life form because it can determine whether we are alone in the Universe or not. Despite Elon Musk promising to send people to the Red Planet, We are not sure if it is going to be in our lifetime. So while we are patiently waiting. Here are some movies and TV shows about the crimson rock that you can binge on.
There are many movies about the Manned mission on Mars but no one does it Better than The Martian. It is about an Astronaut who got stranded on Mars after his crew unintentionally left him for dead. It is like Castaway but on an alien planet.
After an exploration, Colonization is the next stage for the Red Planet. The National Geographic Mockumentary, Mars is a two-season scripted show that depicts the construction of an early Mars settlement. From Humble small colonies to the building of space cities. This Sci-fi drama also shows the possible divisions and tension among the early colonizers.
The 1990 film. Total Recall has the best depiction of an early Martian city. The film’s special effects are dated but this is the movie that made me interested in Mars. People live in domed cities with pressure and oxygen inside so people can live. It is an action movie though so things will go wrong.
The final Stage of Colonizing Mars is terraforming. When we say Terraforming it means making the planet Earth-like. The Netflix Original Carole and Tuesday is the best depiction of a Terraformed Mars.
Carole and Tuesday are about Two girls who live in a future where Mars had been terraformed for 50 years. The two of them will become close friends. They will try to pursue their dreams of being musicians and singers by joining the biggest Singing competition on Mars.
