Iron Fist: TV Series Premieres on Netflix in March 2017
Marvel’s Iron Fist TV series finally has a launch date. Marvel Entertainment and Netflix officially announced today that the new Netflix TV series based on the Marvel Universe will premiere on March 17, 2017. You can also check out a new promo video that was released for the series below.
In the new series, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysterious returns home to New York City 15 years after he was presumed dead. He’s determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, his long-destined enemy rises in New York, and Danny Rand must become a living weapon who is forced to choose between his family legacy and his duties as Iron Fist.
This launch date lines up about with where Daredevil Season 2 was this year. That will likely put Defenders at later in 2017. Interestingly enough, The Punisher appears to have started production already. So it begs the question if Netflix will have to start showing more than two Marvel shows a year. At the start, the plan was to release two a year. But with new spin-offs like The Punisher and getting second seasons for Jessica Jones and a third season for Daredevil, the productions might have to increase in capacity soon.
All 13 episodes of Iron Fist’s first season will be available to stream on Netflix when the show launches March of next year.
