Han Solo Rumored to Join Boba Fet For Second Star Wars Anthology Movie
The Star Wars Anthology films are doing something very different from their “main” film brethren. Instead of doing spinoffs of new characters, or telling stories based on the universe we’re going to be in when Episode VII arrives, they’re telling tales that either fans have wanted to see, or have only heard of through the original saga.
Rogue One will delve into how the Rebels got the plans for the Death Star, which set up the entire original trilogy in the first place when you think about it. However, Disney and Lucasfilm already have another anthology film lined up. Last month, it came out that the second Star Wars Anthology film would feature the fan favorite bounty hunter character, Boba Fett. Apparently, that is not all. If the rumors Schmoes Knows are hearing are true, the film will feature two classic Star Wars characters: Han Solo and Boba Fett.
Now to be clear, this is another throwback film in a way. Instead of seeing the now very aged Harrison Ford again reprising Han Solo, this would be a movie set in his prime; apparently set in between episodes III and IV. Where does Boba Fett come in? Well, apparently this movie will help set up the conflict/rivalry between them that escalates in The Empire Strikes Back.
The project is also rumored to feature other characters fans are familiar with, like Lando, Bossk, and Chewbecca. This has all the makings of a Star Wars western, don’t you think?
