One month and counting until the release of The Book Of Boba Fett on Disney+. To whet your appetites, Lucasfilm has provided a short teaser for the series today. It’s pretty short, but it does consist of mostly new clips, and it hints that we may find out how Fett got to where he is now.
Even though it was frontloaded with the largest family entertainment library in the world, nobody truly knew if Disney+ would be a success or not…it’s the originals that get a streamer attention. Fortunately, they had a hit right out of the gate with The Mandalorian. But then the Baby Yoda storyline wrapped up surprisingly quickly and now Mando is taking a break. Who could possibly pinch-hit for him that could also attract the same huge audience? None other than the original, the man who made Mandalorians cool, the fearless bounty hunter who had to rename his ship because “SLAVE 1” sounded wrong to modern ears…Boba Freakin’ Fett.
One of the Star Wars franchise’s most iconic characters is official for Disney 3.0 Edition in the legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Boba Fett. The character will get his own figurine and be a playable character for the upcoming game as a limited edition offering character for the Sony PlayStation platform versions of the game. The announcement of Fett’s inclusion as a limited edition offering was announced yesterday (June 15) at the Sony PlayStation E3 2015 press conference.
The Star Wars Anthology films are doing something very different from their “main” film brethren. Instead of doing spinoffs of new characters, or telling stories based on the universe we’re going to be in when Episode VII arrives, they’re telling tales that either fans have wanted to see, or have only heard of through the original saga.
Let’s do a recap shall we? Star Wars has been a thing for decades, and long before (and in some ways after) there was ever a talk of a third trilogy, the universe has been constantly growing. Ever since the first trilogy, fans have wanted to know more about the Star Wars universe, and many were happy to supply that.
