GTA V Has Sold 5 Million Copies in the UK
Milestones in sales don’t just refer to certain numbers it reaches, but also the areas in which it reaches them in. The three main regions that people look at sales in are the US, Japan, and the UK, and being able to determine how well a game or console is doing or has done there can be very important in determining how a future game or console will do there.
For Grand Theft Auto V, IGN reports that it has recently passed an impressive milestone in the United Kingdom, selling over 5 million physical copies of the title there. Note that I said physical copies because digital copies weren’t in the total from Chart-Track.
This is but the latest in a very long line of milestones for Grand Theft Auto V, as it has sold over 33 million copies worldwide, made billions of dollars, and just recently released the PC version of the game, which featured the Rockstar Editor. Rockstar Editor is a movie maker that can only be used in the PC version of the game, but one that allows you to create short films using all the assets in the game, along with controlling the scenery, camera, environment, and more.
Clearly, GTA V isn’t going to be stopping getting the milestones soon. The only question is, which one is next?
