Terra Memoria Released For Consoles And PC

French publisher Dear Villagers and indie developer La Moutarde have introduced Terra Memoria, an HD-2D RPG they describe as “hitting the three Cs: Cute, Cozy, and Chill.”

Someone’s gone wrong in the land of Terra. There’s a nationwide shortage of magic crystals, and these weird ancient robots are popping up everywhere. Six new friends join forces to investigate by journeying all over the land. You’ll be controlling all six (though not at once) and each has their own storyline, skills and battle abilities. Explore, craft things, cook, and save the world at your own pace.

  Set up your camp with the handyman and the blacksmith while the summoner and the sorcerer cook tonight’s dinner. By the fireside, stories of a shapeshifter and the tunes of a bard resonate. That’s how another day of travel with your new friends ends.

  Discover a cute little RPG and its world that combines 3D and pixel art, as well as its authentic music crafted with love.
• Craft, Build, Repair
  Use a unique construction tool to change the world and solve puzzles. Buildings and decorations – craft everything and construct a village!
• Write A Digital Guide
  A local recipe, the mayor’s portrait, or a real false treasure map? Every piece of information is good to add to this participatory publication. Will you find the clues hidden there?

“Terra Memoria is our love letter to JRPGs,” says developer La Moutarde. “We wanted to have a very chill adventure that would be the bridge between casual gamers and JRPGs hardcore fans, to also give to people that are not especially JRPGs fans (yet eh eh) a way to discover this amazing genre. So you have crystals shortage plot, a huge story mode with side quests, turn based combats with an easy-to-understand timeline, crafting and cooking at campfires…in a vibrant world that will make you feel at home, where the more important thing is the adventure that characters share with each-other.”
