Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger EP 10 - "Zandar! Gold's Return!"

That's pretty much been a big problem with the show as a whole; the show seems like it's on a total caffeine high and needs to...

Then, why did BladeRun try copying them?

I disagree. Yeah, we're getting to the Sixth too fast but so long as they still have plot left and we don't hit a snag on episode 20 where we're stuck in filler land for 18-25 episodes, I'm fine with the pacing.

I thought it was a fine episode. Lots of stuff to like. Kyuryu Gold has a neat suit and henshin device, though the fight was hardly impressive.

Also his giant sword is stupidly unwieldy. Whoever came up with that design should be fired. Sheesh. Once closed it looks neat though.

Pteraidenoh should have kept the badass cape dangit! ;_;

What does 'zandar' mean anyway?

Yeah, I think it's a more "proper" Japanization of Thunder.

I think it's meant to be a proper name (his technique writes "ZANDAR THUNDER", after all).

I liked this episode a lot. Kyoryuger has been such a hit or miss for me, while it's fun and cute and light I also always feel like it's just missing a little bit of something. I don't know what it is?

I think it has to do with the characters. They have backgrounds but I feel like the backgrounds are so rushed and shoved aside to showcase toys. But I still love the show, it just still needs work imo.

I just got caught up on the show today.

I'm enjoying it, but there just seems to be something... missing. I'm not really sure what, or how to describe it, but I'm getting the feeling this is a pretty good show that could be a great show.

I do like Dolgold being an evil suit of armor, but it caused me to think, could all the Deboss commanders be possessed past Kyoryugers like that?

I think it's the villains that are lacking. They're entertaining enough, but they're not all that interesting so far.

I actually think writing the sixth into the show earlier in the series is a fairly good idea. It means they can spend more time properly introducing him as a character and integrating him into the core cast. It also cuts down on the tendency of Sentai seasons to meander a bit after all the first quarter toys are introduced, unable to really move the plot forward in a meaningful way because they don't actually have all of their core cast yet. Consider what passed for the ending of Shinkenger or Gokaiger's first "story arc," just for example.

It's a pretty awesomely stupid pun in Japanese. It combines zan (ざん), which can mean beheading or decapitation, with the way "thunder" is written in katakana (サンダー). So you get the Zandar, or the sword that beheads you with thunderbolts.

Oooor they can use that time to write an episode in which the pink ranger dresses like a bride. I think we know what the smart choice here is.
