What made DQ a real annoyance for me was the fact that needed to find a god damned item in order to save your game....and those save tokens weren't easy to come by!!

For me it came down to wow factor. BoF 1-4 had dragons, cool stories, great characters, great music, they were epic. Dragon Quarter was just meh.
