Alice in Borderland: Season 3 | Official Teaser | Netflix If You Liked Squid Game, You’ll Love This Slightly More Nihilistic Version While Squid Game had tracksuits, marbles, and a sprinkle of social commentary, Alice in Borderland offers Tokyo itself — empty, apocalyptic, and crawling with games designed by someone who definitely got kicked out of a philosophy class for being “too intense.” Yes, both shows feature people being forced to play deadly games. I watched both shows, and while Squid Game made me feel anxious, Alice in Borderland made me feel disturbed on a deeper level. The psychological stress the characters go through hits harder. I think Season 3 will be even more intense. The games are not just deadly, but designed to challenge your mind and soul. Arisu is not a traditional hero, but he’s easy to understand. He is weak at first, but not stupid. And Usagi is more than just a love interest; she’s a survivor. I’m ready to return to Borderland. I just hope my favorite characters survive this time.

I was hooked since the first card game in Season 1. It’s not just the violence. The storytelling is so sharp. I think Alice in Borderland challenges you to think about survival and purpose in a world that makes no sense. Unlike Squid Game, where people choose to play, here they’re just thrown in. That helplessness feels real. If Season 3 digs more into the origin of the Borderland and who controls it, I’ll be happy. I also want Usagi to get more development. She deserves it.

I think Alice in Borderland has a different energy than Squid Game. It’s more creative and unpredictable. The danger comes from logic and strategy, not just luck. I liked that in Season 2 we saw more character stories. I hope Season 3 gives us more about the people behind the games. Who made this world? What’s the real goal? I hope the writers don’t just kill characters for shock. Make the story matter. If they give me answers, this will be my favorite season.

I felt a strong connection with Arisu and Usagi in Season 1. I remember feeling fear and sadness when they lost friends. The idea of sky lasers is a cruel image that haunted me at night. I also felt hope when they helped each other. The announcement of Season 3 makes me feel nervous and excited. I imagine sitting on my sofa and holding my blanket tight. I will watch the first episode alone. I want to feel every twist and turn in my heart. I believe that this show can test my limits as a viewer. I also believe it can show how human kindness can survive in a broken world. I am ready to feel again.

I enjoy the idea of a game world that removes logic. Alice in Borderland feels like someone wrote a video game in a notebook. I say this in a good way. The traps and puzzles are like brain teasers gone wrong. I found Season 2 sometimes too dark. It made me pause and breathe. But I also felt that this break gave me time to think. I expect Season 3 to push me again. I will watch on September 25, 2025 and keep a notepad by my side. I want to write down each rule and clue. This will feel like homework, but I like it.

As someone who read the original Alice in Borderland manga long before the series was even announced, I have to say the adaptation has truly surpassed the source material in many ways. The live-action version took the foundation of the manga and built something more intense, more emotionally layered, and honestly more cinematic. Certain characters who were just functional in the manga became much more meaningful on screen. The actors brought depth and vulnerability that I didn’t fully feel from the panels.

By the end of Season 2, the show had already caught up with and restructured the manga’s ending. That means Season 3 will be a completely new story — not a continuation from the manga, but a new path created by the showrunners. That excites me more than anything. It's like we're heading into uncharted territory with familiar faces. I trust the creative team to keep the spirit of the original, but push it further.

For manga fans like me, there’s a thrill in not knowing what comes next. No spoilers, no predictions — just pure surprise. If they continue with the same energy and attention to character growth, Season 3 might become the best season yet.

Hate me but Season 2 have everything wrapped up gave me a strong sense of closure. To me, the whole story was a brilliant example of modern storytelling—tight, thoughtful, and meaningful. Sometimes, continuing a story can risk losing what made it special in the first place. I hope the new season can live up to the high standards set before, but part of me wishes they had left it as it was.
