Seriously? I won't pick on someone for taste. sometimes a show's sense of humor or characters just doesn't click with you. That's fine. But Fourze literally had more plot in both its introductory arc and Meteor arcs alone than Wizard has had in its entire first thirty-odd episodes. In fact, Fourze had completed two plot arcs by this point in the show, while absolutely none of the questions raised in Wizard have been developed or answered.
Completing two arcs is iffy at best. Yes ryusei’s arc did end, badly but it did end. Ryusei’s actions made to very unlikable, from killing gen for no apparent reason on then impatience, to his random psychotic moments. Was the second arc cancer? If that was the case then that was a very short and not needed arc. Cancer pretty much came in, said puns, and left. He did try and reveal ryusei’s identity, but I would not be surprised, how bland the rest of the crew and there intelligence is, they would have believed it even when given proof. As far as wizard not answering questions yet, we still have I bet 16-17 episodes left. Still time to explain. Unlike fourze who just through almost all of it into the last 4 episodes.
If you simply find raising questions entertaining, that's fine, but there's a big difference between dangling a bunch of plot threads and having any sort of developed narrative. While I'd like to be proved wrong, I imagine most of the questions Wizard has raised will go unanswered by the show's end, just do to all the time the show is choosing to waste.
And you know this how? Like I said we still have 16-17 episodes left. Kinda early to make those assumptions isn’t it?
This is just a case of Fourze's villain not being a type of villain you liked. Sagittarius was a well-done honorable, human villain who is following a very specific agenda. He does not necessarily view the hero as his foe, and killing Fourze would not have advanced his plan until the very end of the series (where he tries it and fails). Gamou's just not going to behave like the Phantoms, who are clearly a more traditional type of Rider villain.
So being honorable makes you stupid? If that is the case then yes, stupid villains are not to my liking. Think this for a second, if he did not want to kill fourze because of your reasons, then why did he let the base get destroyed? By your reasoning that would make no sense. My reasoning is that he saw it as a threat, and got rid of it. Which still makes him an idiot since just got rid of the hidehout and the not his main problem, fourze. IDC if a villain is honorable, but I just want some form of intelligence. Also, how is letting kids fight your battles honorable?
Maybe you should actually watch the movie? Because Gamou didn't actually have all twelve switches in the film. The Replica Horoscope Switches were, IIRC, used by Inga Blink to create a distraction so she and Black Knight could get aboard the shuttle. Gamou is consistently opposed to what the villains of the film are doing, since it is counter to his personal agenda, and he chooses to help Fourze beat them at the end of the movie.
Alright I must have missed that part. Still, did they ever explain why they couldn’t use them for that purpose? They never said he couldn’t. Again, this is an example of bad plot, not explain how things work. It could have been as simple as “There not as strong and can’t take it.” See, simple as that. Though they did it again with the crew stuck at the m-bus, no explanation to what they are doing. Fell bad for people who liked them since they never got closure to what happened to them.
Right, and you're just proving my point. There is no version of Fourze, no matter how good it was, that you would've liked. You clearly just have problems with what the story wanted to be about. On the other hand, Wizard is suitably to your tastes that you can enjoy it despite it not being very well-done at all.
Now your just putting words in my mouth. How do you know no version would satisfy me? Do you know me personally? Do you know what I do and don’t like before my last post was even made? Again, how did you know this? IDC if a show is light hearted (my favorite sentai being go-onger, and loving all of kyoryuger so far), but I do care if a show has bad plot and characterization, which fourze has a lot of. The crew just comes in with their intro arc, maybe have on more arc, and done. Take yuki example, we wanted to go to space and…………….. IDK. When we got to the Gemini arc, I could care less for her since knowing barely anything about her and the fact she had her annoying antics. Another example is Shun, during that prom arc he was trying to win back mui’s heart cause he loves mui and………….IDK. Now you could say it was early in the show, but even after that he was just the guy who piloted Power Dizer and nothing much else.
Most of this post just seems mean spirited at times, with the last being words shoved into my mouth. I did really want to like fourze. I loved the idea of a space theme, and a high school theme kamen rider. It had the writer from gurren lagann, one of my favorite animes. Though with that said, I went in with a open mind, and with no expectations, and this is what I pretty much thought of it. Wizard is not perfect by any means, but fourze is not even sub-par.
