Why Japan is SO late in foreign movies

Continuing the Creddie legacy
It was weird, during commercial breaks I see trailers for US films but their release dates are too late. an example is HSM 3 Senior year (aka HSM: the movie in Japan), which release date is on the same month the next sentai series will debut.

Why is that? are they too preoccupied with their own?

Because theirs is better than ours & they don't really need ours.

Why focus on something somewhere else when what you have is better?

Yeah my friend told me about this also. When he was at home in Japan during the summer iron man had yet to come out but hulk already had. On the way back to Canada they were showing iron man on the plane because it was out on dvd here already.

But this case is just High School Musical, so I doubt many people will care in Japan how long it will take.

Some of them come out not too long after the original release, others come out months later. Dark Knight was showing here before Iron Man, etc.

The same reason why they are so far behind in camera technology.

Also inb4 "JAPAN HAET HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL", Japan eats that **** up and uses it as their view on what American high school is like. Its pretty funny actually.

It's like asking why the hell movies like Returner or Casshern or Godzilla or anything else of that matter get released first in Japan with a theatrical release, and we get a DVD release stripped down with no special features an cut and re-dubbed five years later.

And why the hell did Japan have a theatrical release of Starship Troopers 3 before we ever even got it on DVD?

To answer this question:

Different sides of the world are just at different pages. It's not that big of a deal.
