Why is Riderman considered a primary rider?

I always thought Riderman was the best Showa Rider to make a dark gritty movie for. Unfortunately that will never happen it seems. I kind of want to make a Riderman fan-film...

I can't get past how ridiculous he looks. The half-mask and GIANT arm attachment combined with the gaudy colors (moreso even than other showa riders) are just too much for me.

If I could watch V3 without paying $150 for it, I'd be happy to learn to love him though. I wonder what that new version of the suit would have looked like anyway...his design doesn't feel like something that could even be done in The First/The Next style at all.

I hate when people diss Joji for the obvious stuff. That's equally as bad when people diss Big One for being a "rainbow." Joji was the working man's rider who earned his title. Not to mention he was handicap rider.

I got copies of V3 for like $20 on Ebay (from like Malaysia or something, not the best quality subs, but English none the less), and I came to truly love Joji. I have to agree, he is the working man's Rider.

The only problem I ever had with him was his lack of using the different arms, or using his sickle-like arm (the name escapes me) for battle.

While Riderman was never one of the strongest Riders, he made up for it in courage. To where he would sacrifice himself without any hesitation. Which is also why G3 was the Heisei version of Riderman.

Just get yourself a copy of Kamen Rider Spirits. They are free, english translated and ready to grab.
When you are done reading them, Riderman is gonna be one of your favourite Riders.

Didn't he have arms that were made, but never used in show? Like, the props actually existed, but never got used?

Really though, what do you expect when the only exposure I have to Riderman is a prohibitively expensive DVD and a bunch of hideously bad crossover movies where older riders get no characterization? My only real info about Riderman comes from the ZX special.
