What are your expectations for Kamen Rider W?

Well...I tend to save final judgement for after I've seen the show. So far though, I like the concept of having two people become a Rider. It'll all depend on how they're gonna execute it though.

I'm looking forward more to the murder and detective aspect of the whole series... The kaijin they've shown in the previews haven't made an impression on me, so I'm really hoping they'll focus more on the detective work...

It kinda reminds me of the Tantei Gakuen Q drama, but with a Rider&Kaijin twist...

usually previews pull me in, but W hasn't really excited me. i will reserve my final judgement for when the show actually airs.

I think as with most Rider series, only time can tell. However, so far it looks like it's gonna be badass. I'm still on the fence about whether its' gonna last longer than Decade, though.

So far all I've really seen besides a few pictures is one grainy preview trailer and I have yet to warm up to Double's design (but I usually do when I see them in motion enough) but really I have no real expectations, so I am going into it like I did the first Transformers movie.

A bit of me is expecting to be be disapointed but really I have no idea what is going on.

I really like the idea of Rider having villains that are out-and-out criminals again. I really like the idea of following a detective character around and using mystery-solving as a framing device.

I also like the idea of the far-future setting. The Gaia Memories are an interesting idea for handling multi-forms and expressing W's current powers.

That said: judging from the trailers, I will be very surprised if Phillip and the female lead don't annoy the living crap out of me. I expect to find Shotaro fairly likable. The villains have a certain Showa charm to them that I appreciate.

In short, I'm expecting W to be a show that has a lot of great ideas on paper, but is somehow produced as a show I can't bear to watch. If this is indeed how things go down, I'll probably just spend this year in Rider catching up on Dragon Knight and waiting for new Decade movies.

Honestly, nothing exceptionally good. Maybe decent at best, but looks to be another Metal Hero disguised under the name of Kamen Rider, especially with the vehicles. And the villains are extremely tacky. C'mon, did they try out for the position of B-Fighter's villains and get rejected?
