ULTRAMAN SAGA - Rumors and Pictures

Ultraman is NOT one of them.

And why the hell not? God forbid we have some variety in the franchise. It's not like Dyna's ending is even super-crazy-everyone-dies-dark - it's just bittersweet. Call me crazy but I like that. It's hardly some unforgivable transgression that needs to be corrected at all costs.

Why?

When it's getting fixed?!

Seriously, though; some series can go dark, and downbeat, and survive.

Even thrive, in a few cases.

Ultraman is NOT one of them.

UltraSeven, the most popular and longest lasting and endearing Ultra of them all, would like to have a word with you on this matter.

Jesus Christ, at least Dyna got to be happy in heaven with his father.

Seven's shows were lucky if they approached being that happy in their darker turns.

Dyna never had to seriously wonder if humanity was truly worth saving.

Seven has.

Just, Jesus.

And yeah-What the hell do you think Nexus was? Give you a hint, just because it didn't fair well in its time slot, which was a terrible place for it-doesn't mean it wasn't good. It was fucking fantastic. And it KILLED one of the Ultraman hosts.

Takeshi Tsuruno was the one who rejected the idea of sending Asuka back. He felt Asuka would rather to continue his journey in space.

Asuka always remember the tale about ancient humans told by his father: those people would risk their lives to climb over mountains to discover the world behind them. Why they wanted to do that? Because they are human beings.

Why Asuka won't come back? Because he's Asuka, like Ryo said, he's an idiot who would run toward the end and never look back.

I don't mind Asuka travelling again. I just feel there should be at least a proper goodbye. No proper goodbye is also ok IF there's more Dyna-focused movies in the future. If Saga's ending is the FINAL ending for Dyna, then I would prefer to stop Dyna at the end of his series.

Awesome vid btw.

Yeah, he should at least meet up with his former teammates.

Dyna's ending was supposed to be that he was dead? Hmm, I guess that makes sense. His father was in the same spaceship he disappeared in many years ago, right?

Also, one of Nexus' hosts was killed? But, Jun and Ren were still there in the epilogue. Why would the show have their actors appear like that without actually doing anything besides to say "hey viewers, we're not dead"?

I am split on Nexus' ending. On the one hand, part of me is thankful Ren and Jun survived, on the other, I kind of feel like Jun's arc was a little cheapened by allowing him to live.

BUT OH WELLS. Still one of the best final episodes evar.
