ULTRAMAN SAGA - Rumors and Pictures

I'm sure it would be chicken feed for a Rider or Sentai movie but how does it compare to the Zero and Mega Monster Battle movies BO?

From Box Office Mojo ...

This was reported on Box Office Mojo earlier this week for Japanese movies:

Japan Box Office

Basically, it's saying that Saga had dropped to Number 7, after opening last week at Number 4. It also states that Saga is showing in 318 theaters, as opposed to the 369 theaters it started with. However, the box office monetary drop is relatively small, only 33%, when your standard drop is usually 40-50% or more. It says that it made $4,259,266. Which does correspond with Y348,303,276.

So, based on American dollars, I'd say that Saga is definitely beating The Revenge of Belial's take, and should go into Ultra Galaxy Legend territory. If Shochiku can staunch the bleeding of theaters, and maintain current levels, it could match Super 8 UltraBrothers.

Only time will tell ...

According to this post, Revenge of Belial only made 111,473,800 yen during its first four days, and was only shown on 170 screens. Yeah, Saga seems to be doing better.

Also, Ultra Galaxy made over 1.7 billion Yen in China. Hopefully, that country will keep on being a great market for Ultra movies.
