The producers and writers are probably still trying to "modernize" the stories (and monsters) of their youth.

Monsters? Or, *Heroes*?
That's a very interesting idea.
As a fan of the show(s), though, I'd be a hundred times more interested in seeing the *heroes*, especially how they'd gotten on since we last saw them in their original series. Especially if they'd been played by their original actors. Who are, in most cases, are still fairly young.
And, as I've mentioned previously, I hope that Saga reveals exactly *what* happened to Shin Asuka between the end of Dyna - and his triumphant return in Ultra Galaxy Legend. I hope to see his reunion with the rest of his team, and to see how the M-78 Ultras, Musashi and Cosmos fit here.
I have to wonder, what kinds of new tricks has SuperGUTS come up with in the interim, though?

Ultraman's sign of the cross can set monsters alight.
You would think TPC would weed these hacks and get some good writers for a change to bring in newer ideas to the franchise.
I would like to see an Ultraman series based in Ancient Japan with the Thunder and Sky "gods" being Ultramen , one good and evil. Amaterasu as a young Ultra Mother and X god as Ultra Father. A prequel to the first where Ultra Father was only a mere Ultra Brother, and a low status at that like Ultraman Shodai.
