Torrent VS DDL's

DDL, no question... I hate torrents.

My speed for DDL is quite fast -- even if it's the free DDL. I can get entire episodes or movies in just minutes. No idea about torrents as I haven't touched them since 2004, but I remember I hated using them.

The more you're using DDL, The less you're using torrents. That's really good, but I'm very surprised that you haven't touched torrents since 2004. My relationship with torrent is a bit off, but it's going fine now.

I'm very curious to ask you. Since I haven't yet to download the movie, mostly I go for my favorite shows that I've been downloaded ever since. So what takes you to complete downloading the movies from DDL? Less than in two hours or what? I'm trying to research to see if all this is true or not.

Granted, I got my favorite shows less than in 3 to 5 minutes. That's what I love DDL about.

Same, it's fast and I get it immediately within a few minutes reach. None of the stuck at N% crap.

Movies usually take me around or less than 10 minutes, I think. It seems to vary at times and I usually just click to download and then walk away while it's doing its stuff. I download from Megaupload usually or sometimes Rapidshit.. erm, Rapidshare... in parts. Sometimes Megaupload in parts and other sites as well... it really depends what is available. I also use SkipScreen which takes care of the annoying captchas and countdowns for me.

Isn't this supposed to be in the VS thread?

Anyway, I preferred DDLs. I only used torrents on 2 Double episodes and they sucked.

Considering that with a well-seeded torrent, I can get 4.5GB DVD ISO files in less than an hour, or an 8GB DVD ISO in less than 4 hours, I stick with torrents whenever I can for the large stuff.

Large files (i.e. over 700MB) - torrents if there are at least 5 seeds, DDL if there is less than 5 seeds or if there's no other choice
Smaller files (i.e. 700MB or less) - DDL

definitely DDL. I used to hate using it because my torrent would download faster.
both ways actually download fast on this new modem but I'm still going for DDL.

DDL - Sentai eps from Momotaros.
Torrent - J-drama eps from D-Addicts.

Yeah exactly my line of thinking.

Though I hate, HATE it when I find a rare torrent, only to have it stop at 95%:shakefist

If the torrent is well-seeded, I'll pick that.

In all other scenarios, it's DDL.........because torrents with low seeds don't have "trustworthy seeders."

Personally I prefer torrents because it allows you to download multiple episodes at once.

The key to torrent preference is "seeders." If your show has torrents with "shitty seeders", you're screwed and is better off hoping a DDL is out there somewhere for your show.
