I think you should watch all 49 episodes of Kamen Rider Blade. Just to note, nobody's being defensive, we're just trying to explain it to you. But it's your choice to take it as information or a defensive measure taken by fellow audiences of Kamen Rider Blade.

I'm sorry but that is just untrue the first post was informative, everything after that was overkill. I stated my opinion then clarified saying that I didn't like the suits regardless of context and then it just kept going and going and going. Whatever, I'm done with this.

i didnt give any context i just said rider 1 and 2 looked similar and then 3 and 4 show up and dont look anything like them thats not context. im talking strictly about the design of the suits (which aren't particularly good in my opinion.) You are the one who brought in context and your ego for that matter and while the context does explain the designs it doesn't justify their entire dismantling of the design themes established by Blade and Garren. *facepalm*

Simply saying that pointless logic where you judged a suit while not knowing the reason behind it is typically judging a book by its cover. That's the context that I was talking about, trying to say that; "hey, the other 2 went in a different direction than the original 2" instead of simply admitting you didn't "genuinely" (as you put it) like the suit designs.

Its not like that at all, you don't have any idea what youre talking about. Gundams and zakus have no relation to each other than both being mobile suits, they arent members of the the same team, and are not a part of a bigger design motif overall.

You did read Oblivion's disclaimer right?

In my opinion chalice and leangle looking the way they do only "because the plot says so" is not enough. The 4 dont look like they belong together which i believe they should as a part of the playing card motif.

Yes, toy-gimmick designs are often the foundation of Toku shows since they're technically toy commercials with story, but that what makes Blade an awesome Kamen Rider series. It explained well how the suits are different from each other (though there are still vague points like why is Chalice different from all the other Undeads and feels too pre-fabricated with the suit of Hearts) and the reason behind it is logical enough to give enough plot in order to have one of the most tragic endings Kamen Rider has ever had.

Simply put it, watch the show and maybe your "judging a book by its cover" ideal might change.

Blade and Garren both work for BOARD (human side), Chalice works alone and is an Undead, and Leangle was created by an Undead taking advantage of BOARD's technology. They just ended up working together since they're enemies are common.

i dont like the designs its as simple as that. i think theyre ugly and i dont need you to come and be a condescending douche. context or no they are ugly to me. thats it. you dont have to like my opinion but its just as valid as yours. the context that you gave doesnt make these suits any better to me, its just fluff anyway. take a suit like W for instance that suit is incredibly well designed, it might not be your favorite but preference and good design are two different things. every detail on that suit has a purpose and thats what makes it good. i dont feel like chalice and leangle are up to par.

i dont like the suits, thats why they are on my list, thats obvious. and they did go in a different direction, context or not the designs are different.

i never said that a suits design is more important than the plot. they need to work together and in blades case they dont. in my opinion plot, score, design, art style, cinematography etc... are of simultaneous priority because they need to work together along with everything else to make the show function as best it can

fine you can like blade and all that it has to offer and once i finish it maybe ill be more lenient in my opinion but i still think that the suits are ugly and i dont need you guys jumping on my back just cuz i have an opinion that you dont like it defeats the purpose of the thread and isnt worth the trouble

Again, you still haven't seen the show, so it makes perfect sense why you don't like it which was my point from the very beginning. 2 Kamen Riders Chalice and Leangle I know this is cheating but WHAT THE HELL BLADE?!??! you have two out of four riders that are insanely similar and then out of nowhere the other two have nothing in common with them or at the very least each other maybe this is just me but with a card motif i personally would figure you would want something similar to the effect of kabuto where the riders all have the same base but they have differences between eachother but who knows at least they got halfway
