Not really. Marvelous was pretending in SHT, and that was just Marvelous. And i really doubt they would rehash SHT.

This time, we don't know what is happening yet. But i have the feeling they used their journey to the Zangyack homeworld to take them over and issue their remnants orders - as said in the series' finale, there were still active Zangyack factions. Maybe they're trying to change their ways....or trying to find a treasure connected to the Zangyack (again, as said in the finale)
Then that would cause a typical VS misunderstanding with the Go-Busters.

That would be way too close to SHT. Also, why wouldn't Gai be with them? I think we're getting either brainwashing or fakes replacing them this time. But probably brainwashing/mind control.

Why would they change the Gokaigalleon's look due to something like that though? The scans also say that they're evil. I don't think it's going to be just a beginning of movie misunderstanding, but a long plot even if it ends before the ending, unlike in SHT.

i dont think so, with the rumors about phantom keys, it sounds like they were brainwashed by the phantom curse.
