Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Gokaiger

Sorry, just a pet peeve, (because I see this a lot in these forums), but it's called a "roll call". http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/roll+call?s=t

Sorry to dissapoint you but you get your info wrong...

It is called a ROLE CALL

Each team member mention her or his role in the team

A roll call is not the same thing

If someone else would call out their name you would be right...

Even then saying that Im only being nice... it's just a convention :P

Dictionary.com disagrees with you and you've presented no proof of your point.

They also don't have a definition for "role call."

Yes, they are saying their "roles" but that doesn't mean it's a "role call."
EDIT: Also when I type in "role call" to Google it asks if I mean "roll call."

role call is a toku otaku term, you wont find it in a regular dictionary

Role Call is a pun with Roll Call

But Dictionary has nothing with Tokusatsu, does it means we are erroneous each time we say Toku or henshin or anything related to it?

In normal cases its Roll Call

In toku world, and anime, it's role call

It was a convention from before I was born, and we won't change it

1.The reading aloud of a list of names of people, as in a classroom or military post, to determine who is present or absent.
2. The time fixed for such a reading.

You see by point 1. that it is not what the heroes of the shows are doing when they call their name

Also remember, the japanese are very punny, even when we speak english

Again

Noun 1. role - the actions and activities assigned to or required or expected of a person or group
role - the actions and activities assigned to or required or expected of a person or group; "the function of a teacher"; "the government must do its part"; "play its role"

role, rôle [rəʊl]
n
1. (Performing Arts / Theatre) a part or character in a play, film, etc., to be played by an actor or actress

Edit: Or in this case a team of superhero who transform....

call (kôl)
v. called, call·ing, calls
v.tr.
1. To say in a loud voice; announce: called my name from across the street; calling out numbers.

Not every 2 and more words expressions are accepted

So role call if it was accepted would be

verb: To say out loud what is your position/character you play
noun:What that action would be

Whoever directed the action in this movie did a fine job. There were very interesting and creative camera angles going on for example. My favourite scene would have to be bike sequence when Hiromu launched out of Ace to get the Ranger Key back.

And seeing how the action happened..

I think the movie would be between Brave 1 and Brave 2

So then it means that Kyoryuger & Go-Buster series have are overlapsing a bit

See, in the military a "roll call" (in its unabridged form) is done exactly the way in Toku. You line up, your CO/Ex-O calls out the roll call command, and then everyone sounds out their name.

So no, "it's different in toku" is not a valid excuse, is wrong and doesn't apply. It's a military term appropriated for toku shows which does the same thing and is spelled "roll call".

I cannot believe people are actually justifying incorrect spelling.
