Toku is Revived for Me.

[KingRanger]

Oh no, they're on Blade now? They better not mess with my Tachibana-kun. Garren was the perfect Rider. They dont need to be fuckin-em-up!

To late :/

Is anyone else out there feeling it? That energy you had when you first came to know Tokusatsu? Everything was new and wonderful. You had your Kamen, your Sentai, your Ryukendo/Garo/Metal-hero type show, your Ultra, Power Rangers!

You were into it and you wanted it all.

Well the past couple years have been dead for me. Power Rangers was merely "ok"; Kamen Rider wasn't grabbing me the way it used to; And Super Sentai seemed to be getting sillier and mundane.

We all have our opinions. Maybe yours is different.

But this year, this is the golden year for Toku. Not only do we have a fantastic season of Power Rangers so far (with two wonderful EPs, Eddie and Judd fucking Lynn), but we have Kamen Rider Dragon Knight which continues to impress and delight every week.

We also have Shinkenger which is blowing me away and Kamen Rider Decade. Tomica Rescue Force was also a real treat to watch.

This year has just revitalized my love and interest in the genre. These are the shows I can show to my friends. Go Onger? I couldnt show that to my friends. Shinkenger? Oh you fucking believe I can present that to a roommate and believably have them say "not bad".

These are the shows that you can proudly say "This is why I love Toku".

What does everyone else think?

Agreed, 2009 is indeed the Golden Age of Tokusatsu.

Umm... Not by any stretch of the imagination is this the golden age of Toku. :redface2:

[Chronotia Archzenom]

But it is! And 2 KRs and 1 Sentai and 1 Power Ranger broadcasted with full power.

I think that there are imagination stretches where one could see our Toku Halls lined in gold.

This is the first time........ pretty much ever that I've been able to enjoy both Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Power Rangers and the American Kamen Rider. I don't think there's another time in history we could say this.

AGREED A LOT! This has never been done in the history of Henshin Justice Unlimited and so I say 2009

2= Badass shows from both countries
0= 0% no badass TV shows are allowed to premier
0= 0% no badass Movies are allowed to set to the screens
9= (9 Lettered Awesome show genre)

Exactly. This IS a golden year, we won't get another chance at something like this in the future.

I don't know about saying it's the Golden Year of Toku, but both Shinkenger and Decade caught my attention. I'm honestly enjoying Decade more though. Shinkenger is still slow for me, but I haven't watched toku since the end of Boukenger, which even that I didn't finish. But we'll see. Decade is living up to its name, although I definitely think it's more enjoyable to people who saw all the heisei series...but not necessary.

[Kenori]

I agree with Saiko. Though I haven't seen Shinkenger, but Decade, DK, RPM are all blowing me away.

RPM is quite possibly the biggest shocker. I NEVER expected something like this. I would say so far its officially a turn to the awesome.

For you personally that is true, but it is not the golden age of toku as far as the entire genre goes. Like my personal golden year was the year CarRanger came out.
