Timeranger

First off I don't want anybody to take this the wrong way but after spending 2 months to the date on this series I fail to see how Timeranger gets any of the hype that it does.

The characters (Other than Tatsuya and Naoto) felt underdeveloped. The Timeranger team itself felt like it had no chemistry at all. They just felt like they were detached from each other, sorta like they weren't ever even in the same room. All the Londarz seemed like was that they wanted to steal money and bling until Gien went AWAL. Lira just plain screamed all the time not much development for her either. So a crappy set of villains.

The plot. Again, all it seemed like was that The Londarz wanted to do was steal money and bling for 40+ episodes and that's what the story was driven by.

The Music. A mixed bag. Too much, I'm going to use this word very very loosely, "futuristic" sounding techno. None of it stood out at all to me, other than the transformation music.

The "comedy" was unfunny. Even on episode 22, which is supposed to be an entirely silly episode, it was just sorta funny to me. That may be because the characters were so detached from each other though.

I kinda want to know how everybody else thinks of Timeranger. From looking around it seems like it's held up there pretty high but to me it just feels like it failed as a series. If not for the ending I would have said today that the series mercifully ended. I'm glad that wasn't the case but still, it was a hard two months off and on to watch this series.

Timeranger is the greatest Sentai ever.
Cause of its theme song.
This post was shallow.

Yes because of the OP theme song Timeranger is therefor the greatest sentai ever. I think your post is pretty shallow if that's all you're basing Timeranger on.

The team may be lay back but Timeranger is one of dramatic and great Plotlines sentai series:shakefist you really can't understand drama and deep stroylines of this series, can you? did u even watch with subs before judging on it?

The Londarz were a criminal mob "family" after all; Don Dornero was your usual mob boss. Their modus operandi (at least how I saw it) was just to get the wealth and power. This (I think) is why for the better part of the show they're just pilfering and stealing; its what the characters were written as (which made them slightly different from your usual villains who weren't too concerned about money).

As for character development, I think everyone got developed fairly evenly (with Tatsuya probably getting a shade more); even the villains (especially Gien) got written fairly good I think.

Timeranger is one of the better sentai's. It has excellent character and story growth. You also do not need subs to enjoy it.

I'm going backward in Sentai chronology and I'm up to Timeranger too....I've just stalled, I don't know what it is. Just not grabbing me or keeping my interest. Maybe that completely horrible image quality fake subs is turning me off, dunno. I hope to get back into it too because I tried watching PR Lost Galaxy again and I'm as uninterested as I ever am when trying to watch that show.

Timeranger's the best sentai series until Magiranger came along. Timeranger is not just about hype. It's not Changeman nor Liveman.:anime: Also, Time Red is one of the greatest Red Warriors ever.

There is nothing about hype that makes Changeman and liveman good. They are just good shows.
