Dude, I was being playing around with you and sarscatic. Seriously, I'm sick of everyone who has been complaining about Ultimates. I've noticed that most of you guys complained about Thor who don't have the helmet. Seriously, WHO CARES. It doesn't matter to me that Thor have or don't have the helmet.

Seriously, I'm sick of everyone who has been complaining about Ultimates.

Ultimates takes a cheaply cynical and nihilistic view of superheroes that I find pretty vile and ultimately no pun intended, very unentertaining. I make no real apologies for hating it but at the same time you got every right in the world to think it's tehcoolestthingevar so there ya go.

I've noticed that most of you guys complained about Thor who don't have the helmet. Seriously, WHO CARES. It doesn't matter to me that Thor have or don't have the helmet.

Key costume element. Might as well not have pointy ears on Batman or have Ghost Riders head not be on fire. Now if they were just straight adapting Ultimates then yeah, no helmet would make sense. But if you're playing in the ballpark of the original character or the character even now as he exists in mainline Marvel then the helmet is a visual element that needs to be present because its part of that character.

Well, that's your opinion for disliking Ultimates. I respect that, but too much complain is not worth it.

Seriously, I'm sick of everyone who has been complaining about Ultimates.

You won't have to be tired for long! The sales on the Ultimate line are now so bad that it's just a matter of time until the whole thing is canceled. Most 616 titles now outsell their Ultimate counterparts by a ratio of at least 1.5x, including the books written by Millar and Bendis.

The fans have spoken-- they want 616, not Ultimate. Ultimate, like most other continuity reboots, eventually just turned into a Beatlemania-type zombie rehash of older stories with a thin veneer of modernity applied to try and conceal the basic creative bankruptcy of the whole process.

What few good ideas Ultimate had will be absorbed back into the movies, then back into 616 through the movies (as has already happened with Iron Man). Continuity in comics will always revert back toward what fans perceive as the original and therefore true version of a character.

Seriously, WHO CARES.

Clearly a lot of people, if there's so much complaining that it's jangled your nerves this badly.

It's a little more face covering than what I would prefer but at the same time its successful at evoking the classic helmet and it looks really slick. Here's hoping it makes more than just a cameo. :thumbs:
