Things I hate About Heisei Riders

1) Most of the time, they never destroy the final villian(Except for Kuuga, Kabuto, and Den-O) the final villian is either greatly damaged or is spared.

2) The focus of many of the new series is not on the main rider.

3)Don't use motorcycles that much

4)I miss the enemy footsoldiers of the Showa era

5)No teamups(Decade is not out yet so it doesn't count)

6)They don't have a Rider main villian. They have the main villian having the power to become a Rider, but he is not destroyed in Rider form. A million bucks says that in the last episode of Kiva, Saga transforms into a Cobra Fangire and is destroyed by Kiva Emperor Form.

7)No main female riders. I mean female riders that are introdosed in the first episode, and are seen all the way to the last one.

So everyone, tell me what you hate about the Heisei Kamen Riders.

Red Infinity Ranger you're not the only one ranting about this.

Speaking of 'female Riders' what's the point of killing them off everytime? What about other riders? huh? Some riders are still alive and some died.

Hey I love MST3K to and I'm reminded of that lyric if I ever start to question realism in fantasy too much.

BUT that doesn't mean it's okay to just accept whatever is being handed to you on the screen totally without question all the time.

i can see in 20-30 years where people praise the hesei era and diss the current era riders just like how music and pretty much everything will be so imo its pointless to hate on the hesei riders

Okay, at the risk of alienating all the oldschool KR fans, I have watched a variety of episodes of the various Showa era Kamen Riders, and I'm sorry, but 95% of them seem to fall into the following pattern:

1. Head of evil organization comes up with plan to conquer Japan using Monster of the Week.
2. Kamen Rider discovers evil plot and faces off with MOTW, who fights KR in a closely matched battle.
3. KR trains hard and discovers a new technique.
4. KR wins rematch with MOTW.

So say what you will about the Heisei era Riders, but if that's what you have to do to "deserve to be called a Kamen Rider," well, screw that. The new shows and riders may be a mixed bag, but every single one of them at least tries to have a story that unfolds and engages the viewer, and interesting and more or less multidimensional characters. Yes, they have their problems-- Faiz's musical belts and nonexistent endings, Hibiki's decidedly non-ridery approach (despite that Hibiki-san is the most oldschool Rider in the Heisei era), Kabuto's mary-sue hero and trainwreck of a second half, Kiva's corny acting... but I've enjoyed all of them to some extent, and they've kept me watching, unlike the Showa series. Don't get me wrong, I get why people like the Showa riders, but the old stuff is just too formulaic for my taste.

You're welcome to dislike the new Riders, but understand that not everyone considers them the be-all/end-all of tokusatsu heroes.
